Wanderings down the never ending road...

It's funny how being alone with your own thoughts makes you contemplate many a things that you never even realized you thought about. But when you look closely, you have been thinking about all those things quietly in the back of your mind the whole time. When you finally say your thoughts out loud, they sound more familiar than you expect. Thoughts are a strange and curious thing. I cannot speak for all women or any guys at all for that matter, but I find it amazing how my brain connects every little thing, from one point to the next without even flinching. A smooth string of thoughts, each quite different from the first but all connected by a word or memory.

I realized this the other day while talking to my friend Rachel on the phone. Yes I know I was not alone but while talking to her I came to this realization. The mind is a vast and mysterious place and I can barely contemplate how it holds everything together. No wonder girls or people in general are as confused as they are; our minds are intense! Bless those doctors souls that study the brain, my brain might just explode taking in what those doctors learn.

All the same, I am grateful for the time I have had for reflection. There is a reason we are taught to keep journals. Mainly I have mom's memory, no offense mom but like you, and sometimes even dad, I have to write everything down because I will probably forget about it; this going back to our minds are complex and I easily can get lost in my own thoughts. If I have ever zoned out while talking to you, I am sorry, it was due to my brain making all these weird connections into other things. But also because writing out your thoughts helps you to organize your feelings and emotions. Or at least mine for that matter.

Maybe that is why I like chick flicks, because they always talk about their ridiculous 250,000 emotions they somehow are managing to feel all at once and I sit there thinking "THAT'S ME!" Like I said, minds are crazy, especially mine. I hope this gets better when I get older but I somehow doubt that it will, but let me hope. =D

But I hope each of you have had time to sit down and reflect on your own lives. You may learn even more about yourself. I know I have.

I never thought I would say this,
but 28 degrees is warm!

What are men to rocks and mountains?

Today has been quite a lovely day! My alarm technically went off on time but I didn't get up for 20 minutes, leaving me 20 minutes to get ready (or so I thought). But being my brilliant self, showered the night before and got ready with ease and grace and looked rather cute if I do say so myself. I tried calling Albert to make sure we were walking to church together, but someone forgot to turn their phone back on......and off I went on my own, up the hill to church. I power walked it in my high heeled boots and got there about the same time as the cars that were driving the same way. I was quite proud of myself.

All the same, as I was walking up, who did I see but Brent and Bill! I was quite surprised they hadn't left for Burley already but according to Brent they were too lazy and tired to drive, therefore they slept yesterday to rest up. We got to church to find that half the stake had been told 9am and the other 9:30am. And after being quite good and getting there on time and everything. But we just relaxed for a bit and chatted. I felt more than usually small sitting next to two 6'4" guys plus Brent's shoes were about twice the size of mine. Talk about overwhelming, luckily they are all easy and I am pretty sure I was sitting next to the two coolest guys there. (They are so fun!) Albert came later and I did not see him until after sacrament.

Church ended up having sacrament, then 3 Sunday schools, but based on seating I didn't have to move, but Brent and Bill left to go home before the snow got too bad. Then for Relief Society, we were in the same room. I got to sit in the same seat for 3 hours....that was fun. (This was the same room we had Catherine's wedding reception in by the way). But church was quite good and I got my Temple Recommend but I still need to get the Stake President to sign it.

This afternoon was nice, I came back and I made Albert and I wraps with chicken, lettuce, ranch dressing and salsa on top. It was YUMMY. I even got to talk to my dear sister today =] Ah how I love talking to her.

And now I am watching Pride and Prejudice. Albert watched the first half with me. The snow started this morning and has yet to stop, but it is not to stop until Wednesday and then it is going to be a high of 9 degrees. I am a tad nervous but I kind of like the snow. It makes the break seem homely and warm. I desperately wish to have the classic Christmas movies, while curled up in a blanket on the couch, drinking hot cocoa. What a wonderful thought.

Anyway, this weather is making me quite happy, at least until school starts back up next week. Plus in the evening, Idaho gives off this beautiful pinkish glow of the sun setting behind the thick snowy clouds and it is a gorgeous site.

But now I am off to go drink some milk (I have most of a gallon to drink by Wednesday, as if it is a challenge though), Man I wish I had some cinnamon bears right now. Maybe I shall eat some chocolate (teeheehee). I bought some yesterday for the first time since I've been here. =D I forgot how happy it makes you feel =D =D =D

Now to go finish a letter. I promise to write you all that are far from Rexburg at present.Oh and I think the people in this whole complex have decided that since most people are gone that they must make up for the noise, for they have been running up and down their apartment and the breezeways to no end. It has never been this loud since I've been here, what is this craziness? Oh well. I love y'all dearly.

Jack:
You are not to talk of Miss Cardew like that. I don’t like it.
Algernon: Well, I don’t like your clothes. You look perfectly ridiculous in them. Why on earth don’t you go up and change? It is perfectly childish to be in deep mourning for a man who is actually staying for a whole week with you in your house as a guest. I call it grotesque.
Jack: You are certainly not staying with me for a whole week as a guest or anything else. You have got to leave… by the four-five train.
Algernon: I certainly won’t leave you so long as you are in mourning. It would be most unfriendly. If I were in mourning you would stay with me, I suppose. I should think it very unkind if you didn’t.
Jack: Well, will you go if I change my clothes?
Algernon: Yes, if you are not too long. I never saw anybody take so long to dress, and with such little result.
Jack: Well, at any rate, that is better than being always over- dressed as you are.
Algernon: If I am occasionally a little over-dressed, I make up for it by being always immensely over-educated.

New Layout

Yes, I know I changed my layout again for the millionth time but y'all know I am not patient plus I like change. And the background I had earlier today was kind of fall-ish with the orange but still natural with the tree. The rainbow reminds me of skittles! I like skittles =] I don't eat much/any candy here (P.S. Mom please put LOTS of candy in my stocking or wrap it and put it under the tree, I miss picking out a snack with you at the grocery store....=[ Now I feel dumb if I get a candy bar when I'm out and about) Anywho, Yeah so ANOTHER new layout since the one I had earlier today had problems letting you post comments. The name of this one is "Birds on a wire" which TOTALLY reminds me of Regina Spektor! =D I figure at least Aaron and Catherine can appreciate that, and possibly mom as well. So I like it, if you don't, I don't care, I'm not changing it. xP

In other news most of my roommates are leaving tomorrow except Alisa. And my friend Nicole from my German class invited me over to her apartment/house to watch a movie and make pizza tomorrow night. =D I'm excited, I love homemade pizza! I think it'll be much much fun =]

And I only have one class tomorrow, which I will probably go to out of pure boredom though there will be only a few people there and we're not going to do anything.

Ooooo today is a beautiful 38 degrees! I don't even need gloves and/or scarf =D yay warmth!

Oh and mom, you killed the smell of bleach for me since you always used it to rinse out the puke bucket. To clean everything we have a Clorox/Bleach mix and it makes me gag to use it, reminding me of the when I would throw up. =/ I wish I had nose plugs, I washed my hands twice after cleaning the kitchen and they still stink. =/ It's almost as bad as Fixer (which is only slightly diluted vinegar, the vinegar you buy at the store is EXTREMELY diluted) but I've learned to like the smell of fixer due to it relating to photography and therefore making me happy.

Now I think I will go eat, I am very hungry and I have to leave in 40 minutes for photography.....woo.......critiquing......so.......much......fun.............yeah. Don't get me wrong, I love critiques when they teacher actually teaches you what to look for, what makes a picture work and what doesn't. These people have NO idea how to critique, it's like someone with a Nikon D3000 using the automatic setting and saying they know how to use their camera....yeah exactly. This is how they sound "I like this picture because the light there....yeah....and it ......yeah" What? That makes NO sense! Sorry, I just am just eager to learn NEW things, I love the review but I am itching to be challenged and to get rid of all the cluster/minor people and get to the hardcore learning and study of photography.

Hahahahaha itching....it reminds me of this weeks episode of Chuck. Alex: "John Casey came over and stared at my fish tank for an hour mumbling something about his trigger finger itching..." hahahahahaha I love that show. Plus John Casey is pretty much amazing.

Okay forreal lunch NOW!

We Live Life on Porches and Swing Life Away

If you don't know the song from my title, check it out. (Sorry it's not a great version of the song)
I like this song, not sure why, maybe it just reminds me of growing up with everyone still at home. Plus I have spent many a summer days lying on our porch swing back home just contemplating life in general.

Now, do not take this the wrong way, I love Idaho, I love everything about Idaho (except the wind) and I love the people and spirit of the campus. I love my roommates and I love the freedom of being here on my own. But lately I just miss me time. I know I have said it before but it's because I get so little of it. Even when I'm in my room alone, people are STILL around regardless. In that sense, I am actually kind of looking forward to this break, though yes it may be a little scary having my apartment to myself; I still know Albert is less than 100 feet away. But mostly I want to be alone, just for awhile. I feel like my mind is kind of boggled because I have lots to focus on that I don't have time to sort it out without my thought process being interrupted by a giggle or someone walking in, or my stomach growling or the wind blowing.

I am ready to unwind, I am ready for this break, to relax and free my mind. Sorry to anyone if I've been short with them or angsty, I just have a great deal on my mind, and unlike Albert and Catherine, I have yet to master it or appear to have mastered it.

I recommend to all of you, to take a walk, unwind, let your mind flow openly and let go of your fears, worries, and doubts for just 10 minutes. It will make a world of difference. If you need, pick a favorite song and just sing along, no one has to hear, it is just you and the music.

I'm grateful for songs like these, that remind me of the past, that allow me to relax as much as I can within these four walls that I now call home.

I love you all, and miss you. I can't wait to see Catherine and Jesse next week and the rest of you in December, a month from tomorrow.

You'll come back when it's over,
No need to say goodbye
you'll come back when it's over

November 16, 2010

This is gonna be a good, good life!

Today was a great day!

To start, we ended up NOT having our German quiz because NO ONE was prepared for it, instead we took it home for homework.

Second, German class is CANCELED tomorrow!!! AKA I GET TO SLEEEEEEP IN! And I need it =]

Then we got out of Book of Mormon early because we decided to meet on Thursday for our class and then Math got let out 15 minutes early!

We went to Walmart and I got more YUMMY cereal! =D And Milk =D

Then for FHE, Bishop Hancock and his wife came and we had a nice lesson on family unity. (And all our FHE guys came for the FIRST TIME EVER! There's 6 of them, normally 3 show up at a time)

We made a family flag (we're FHE group #4) so we named our flag Fantastic 4! Even though Lisa wrote the "Fantastic" small....and we all signed our names artistically and drew pictures on it and it looks AWESOME:

Sorry for the crappy lighting

The left side we have John Bähr aka "Jon Thunder", Pee Wee Herman (Because Cole's last name is Herman and he has dark hair too) along with Jenny-Far, John Berryhill, A-man-duh, Rebecca, Nicole and Lisa. And of course Dallan's monster that he drew because he could.

We have the lyrics "I'm feeling like a star, you can't stop my shine" at the bottom, Tiera (in yellow), Dallan's blob monster again, "Fantastic 4(ever young)" Rachel and BYU Idaho! =D (Aka the best!)

Best for last! "Kiwi" aka Keely, "Eye love the Church of Jesus Christ", Superman Mike (Michael -note he like photography but he is a digital dork meaning he only likes Canon b/c he doesn't know better), Parker the super missionary and his sidekick monkey, Alisa, Cacia, Dallan signed his name twice (the star and the car, his last name is Starr....yeah) and of course me! (I have photography words around my name =D)

Yeah so I am pretty sure this flag rocks and it was a blast making it!

We also played a game where you're in 2 teams and someone draws a word out of a bowl or something. Then each team goes back and forth trying to think of songs with this word in it, such as "love" "hate" "blue" "dance" etc. We lost but it was fun, and we had root beer floats! And the Bishop and his wife left the root beer w/ us so now we have 1 1/2 liters to drink by Friday =D =D =D =D =D

November 14, 2010

I laughed so hard I think I have a 6 pack

Basically I had a wonderful weekend =]

Rachel White (Elizabeth Moss's cousin) came up from Provo Thursday night. (She couldn't find a Friday ride surprisingly). Plus she got here an hour and a half early! She hadn't eaten anything on the way up therefore, we decided to make some dinner. Rachel is a great deal like my friend Kris, in the sense she experiments with food. We ended up making angel hair noodles with cream of chicken, garlic powder, salt, pepper and corn. It was DELICIOUS!!! Then Brent came over to make cookies but it was more like Rachel and I were making them/having a flour fight and Brent just put some of them on the cookie tray.

It reminded me of "Uptown Girls" where they make cookies and they tell Molly to put them in the oven and while she is doing that the friends ask "Are you sure she can handle this?" and her best friend says "Don't worry girls, it's just cookie mix, how badly could she screw it up?" (The next scene is of the oven with flames coming out of it and everyone is screaming) But don't worry, we didn't burn the cookies at all =D But we were both tired after that and stayed in and watched some chick flicks.

Friday Rachel came with me to my Book of Mormon class. Her and Clarissa (one of the girls I sit next to and also my "companion" when we go teach lessons for class) got along quite well. Our assignment for the next two classes is to reread the talks we read at the beginning of the semester and then discuss them in our group of 5 people. (It sounds like my teacher won't be here which will be interesting...)

Then we decided we wanted to make dinner, this AWESOME salsa stuff but we needed avocado, tomato and green onion. So we walked to Albertson's. And that is a BIT of a walk! But it was lots of good exercise and we had fun especially the random people that yell hey to you from their cars as you walk by. We came back and made this:

Homemade salsa! It is kidney beans, tomato, onion, avocado, green beans (we didn't have corn), lime juice (we didn't have lemon), cilantro, salt, pepper and garlic pepper. It was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See how yummy it looks?

Then we walked again but this time to The Cocoa Bean and we got an Irish Caminilla Frappe.
YUMMY!

See?

And a Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake Cupcake!!!
You know you want this! But too bad!

And my mommy sent my lots of sharpies so Rachel and I had a sharpie party! We drew lots and lots of pictures! I was in such a giddy mood from this! I think the sharpies got to us because we died laughing and I was too giddu for my own good, I was nearly bouncing off the walls!

AND RACHEL BROUGHT CHEERWINE!!!!!
This is exactly what it looks like =D

We did origami! And taught each other different things

She taught me this nifty thing and also one with 6 sheets and it makes a box!

Saturday we went to the gardens to take some pictures and we did though it was quite cold, we ran back to get my gloves and my remote for my camera. While looking around for a place to take pictures......I am not sure who instigated it......but I think we both looked at each other, read each others minds and instantaneously grabbed some snow off the table, patted it together and threw it! We spent about 20 minutes running around getting snow everywhere and making ourselves even colder! But finally we settled down and took some pictures.

Pretty Rachel!

I can fly! Shhhh it's a secret.

Besties! =D

And I went in the library for the first time!!! (Normally I just go upstairs just to mount prints but not IN the library part) Rachel was trying to do homework but the computer didn't have the program she needed.

Instead we made Arizona Skillet Dinner and it tasted SOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!! =D =D =D =D
Then I took her to Sammy's and we had a Mint Oreo Pie Shake and listened to the band and I saw a kid from my Book of Mormon class.

We went home and decided to make pizookie but we knew we couldn't eat it all so we invited Clarissa over. We had a little TOO much fun making the cookie dough, and making a practice test (because the altitude does weird stuff to food here). The cookie was HUGE! I wish I had a picture. We of course smothered it in ice cream and chocolate syrup. But we only ate around a third of it (not being hungry after Arizona Skillet and Sammy's). But we decided to sign the door
while making fun of some really dumb chick flicks such as "Dear John" "500 Days of Summer" and "Charlie St.Cloud"

Thanks to mom for sending me ALLLL those pretty colored sharpies! We had to keep the door open to write, so we froze, plus being hyped up on sugar and then working with sharpies sent us into a rage of laughter where I don't think we breathed for a good 30 minutes, if only barely.
If I don't have some amazing abs after this weekend I will be quite upset.

After all the laughter we settled down to introduce Clarissa to the show "Chuck" and watched 17 Again until Clarissa had to leave and I fell asleep on the couch.

Today we all had cold showers because "Luke Warm" took the place of "warm" today. =[ Anyway we had church but it was snowing really hard when we left so 6 of us packed in Nicole's TINY car then we couldn't find parking so we had to drive to the other side of campus but we took the long way plus the window kept fogging up. It was QUITE the adventure but we ended up parking by the girl dorms. Church was good and we came back and hung out and watched Psych until Rachel had to leave.

FUN WEEKEND! THE END!

"Oh and he died too"

Quirks of Home

Being here in Rexburg for 2 months now, I have learned the in's and out's of my apartment, and most of them are quite easy to deal with. Such as:

The dishwasher is older and leaves water spots on the cups. Also all bowls, plates and utensils should be scrubbed of any caked on food because said dishwasher will not remove it.
RULE: Just scrub the dishes or rinse right after use.

The microwave, if the food of choice is not covered with a FULL sheet or two little half sheets, everything SPLATTERS ALL OVER. (Mother I now understand why you did this, not that our microwave needed it but this one does. Thank you)
RULE: Cover ALL food!

Like back home, our hallway squeaks and there are certain parts that if carefully noted, allow you to cross without sounding like your walking through a 90 year old home.
RULE: Walk in the center of the hallway slowly.

The door from the hallway to the living room squeaks like something awful just died. Therefore whenever anyone is napping in the living room, just leave the door open if you plan on coming back in.
RULE: Leave the door open and close your bedroom door.

If you are going to make food while someone is napping...DON'T. There is NO nice way to get dishes out quietly.
RULE: Eat cereal until they wake up.

The right sink in the bathroom, unknown to those poor unfortunate souls that are oblivious of the dangers while trying to wash their hands, will spaz suddenly when turned on (if not careful) and spray water 5 feet in all directions. Oh those poor children...
RULE: Turn on SLOWLY if not familiar with the appliance.

Once again, like home, the ground has shifted and the doors tend to be crooked and don't always close right. Mother always taught us how to get in and out of rooms quietly, thank you again!
RULE: GENTLY turn the handle while slowly opening or closing the door, don't make any sudden movements. Some people just swing doors left and r
ight even when you are clearly napping.....I love that so much......

Not all food should be microwaved
RULE: Don't make a baked potato in the microwave, espec
ially at night when it's cold outside and you can't air out the apartment.....this happened tonight. =/

You do not know who previously owned this apartment and don't know what they spilled all over the stove. There will probably be unpleasant smells.
RULE: Don't use the top left burner unless you want the
apartment to smell like something died, or that you made a baked potato in the microwave.

Rexburg water smells bad.
RULE: While showering or washing dishes, don't put your face near the water unless you hold your breathe first.

Lastly, and my favorite.....the shower. now observe the love
ly pictures I have drawn to explain the situation.

Here is a normal shower temperture range:

Note the nice range from Icy to Hot in a reasonable order. Oh what a lovely temperature range!

Now our shower on the other hand decided that it did not like this norm. It refused to be confined by society to this boring, ordinary ideal. It decided to flip flop, spin itself side ways and upside down just to keep you guessing what kind of shower you'll be taking today. No the norm is not acceptable for my shower, it has its own special personality.

Note:

See what I mean? First off, there is no "luke warm" unless the shower decides so. (I will explain more in a second) There isn't even a cold. There is just ranges of freezing, kind of like Rexburg, there's 30 degrees freezing, along with 10, 0, -10, and -20. Then I think the hot side just got jealous that it wasn't on the left side so it continued to pose itself like it should be on the left side in hopes the icy side would give up its spot. But it won't.

But that is not the end of the craziness. You are probably saying "Why not just keep it all the way to the left?"

Yes we already do this, but sometimes I think the shower just has a cruel sense of humor because sometimes "perfect" decides to go on vacation and "luke warm" decides to substitute for the whole Hot side, so you keep turning it left in hopes it will get warmer, but it doesn't until you are so frustrated that you forget, and keep turning it left until you hit icy....that is always fun... But then other days "scalding" likes to take the place of "perfect" but keep in mind, the temperature still does not go down when you turn it left, it gets hotter, if that is possible!

But 60% to 65% of the time it is perfect. If you shower before midnight though, bless your soul, it is an even 33.33% each way of what you might get.

So here's to you normal showers! I miss you! However if you would like to take a break from the norm, I'm sure my shower would love to show you the way to creativity, in a cruel sort of manor of course.

Count your blessings
Now you have a blessing to add to your list

A Winter Wonderland Turns Adults Into Children

Life thus far:
I made brownies for Albert and my roommates

They lasted all of a few hours, or at least in my apartment and they were YUMMY

We had a movie night =D

Keely is silly

And I absolutely love her!

And she three barrel rolled my hair. It's basically a fancy crimper.

And does this:

Ta Da!
I like it but it is so much work! Plus according to my roommates I have LOOOOTS of hair.

And we goof off while watching movies

Alisa is ninja kicking Cacia I believe. And Keely is about to quote 27 Dresses with me =D

I just love candid shots of them laughing after being ninja kicked

This may or may not be a frequent occurrence in our apartment...

And I LOVE Cacia's random goofy moments, they are priceless

Now go get a Mastercard.

Keely walked into my room after I had just gotten home and said
"Megan I want to play in the snow, will you take pictures?"
And how could I refuse Keely, and taking pictures? What a wonderful combo! And then Nicole joined her for a lovely snowball fight!
(If you recall, wet snow makes people have snowball fights instantaneously)

BAM!

"I think my snow angel looks retarded...does it look retarded?"

Yay for snow angels!

Keely's looked really good

Even adults love to play in the first snowfall of the Fall =D

Keely made a heart!
She kind of looks like a toy soldier or penguin.
I told her so, and she began to walk around like a penguin =D

Gotta love Keely! <3

Snow is magical
It makes adults into kids
Everyone smiles
And life is happier
When the world is dressed in white
Meg

Up, down, touch the ground, puts me in the mood...for food

Just some thoughts I have had over the past week I guess:

1) The cold is never the problem, it is the windchill and the wind that blows the snow into your eyes that is the problem.

2) You know something is odd when Chucks (Converse) keep your feet dryer than other peoples boots....

3) Due to everyone having little traction on their shoes, forces a snow day to be the happiest day ever because people are laughing as they attempt to not make a fool of themselves. (I like it when people smile, it makes your day brighter)

4) While walking, try to walk on fresh snow (slush is icky), unless you're in a parking lot, then walk where the tires were.

5) Wet snow is not common here so there is an unwritten rule that everyone MUST build a snowman and have a snowball fight instantaneously.

6) I LOVE the person that invented skinny jeans! (I wasn't when I first got here, everyone wears flares here so I looked silly) But skinny jeans do not drag through the mud and therefore to not get soaked up to the knee. Yeah so skinny jeans inventor, you are my hero! =D

7) I actually like snow! *GASP* well for now anyway...

8) Hot cocoa and sweat pants while watching friends get WAY TOO into Mario Kart (for N64) makes for a happy evening =]

9) I think I am craving chocolate since I bought chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup and brownie mix (but the ice cream is for when Rachel comes, along with the syrup and I used the last of my brownie mix last week....and you never know when you'll need a dessert for FHE or something...)

10) Cleanliness is next to Godliness. I've been really good about doing the dishes lately, my roomies have even helped a few times and it always makes me happy. Plus our livingroom has stayed clean since Thursday =D And when things are clean, it makes me VERY happy =]

11) I love my roommates, and goofying off with them =D

12) I've gotten my randomness back, I think it is partially due to my previous post about losing my randomness and skyping old friends. I am very random with them which helps =]

13) I miss family scripture reading & prayer but am SOOOOOOO grateful I was able to share that with them via Skype =D

14) Rachel White found a ride up this weekend to come see meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! =D =D =D =D =D and we are going to have a fabulous time! (I don't get too many girl visitors so I am QUITE excited! It's weird, we always have guys over so when Megan comes by I can be like "We can go in my room!" It is quite an exciting thought because no one sees my room except me and my roommates and sometimes Alisa has people over...but now I am rambling...)

15) Jon should ALWAYS play Mario Kart at our apartment, because it is beyond hilarious (He was the one I was talking about in #8, (he is in our FHE group) he was spazzing out, kind of like when Albert used to play video games, except Jon is around 6'3" and when he flips out you think the floor will break...I am sure the people below us loves us SOOOO much....but it was hilarious to watch while talking to Cacia)

16) We're going to have a ward talent show and Keely & Nicole are gonna clog! And I think they're going to get Bill and Brent in on it! Ah I am excited because they don't clog much, especially the guys. (All for of them were on an international clogging team and have been allllll over the world)

17) I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove you! =D

I can't think of much else to say....

TTFN, Ta ta for now!

WHY???

Dear stomach,

Why are you never satisfied?????? Please for once just be content, you are hurting my wallet. You are not a guy's stomach, you are not huge, you are small. You should fill up easier than you do. My fist isn't that big and therefore my stomach shouldn't be either. Or at least take in the nutrients and give me something out of it, like better acne or an inch in height. Or maybe even show that you have consumed something, because I don't look any bigger. You do not need such large meals or maybe lots of small ones. I know now that I am on my own, I am eating better, and I am glad you like it but seriously. Give me something for my money or at least let me know you appreciate what I give you rather than groaning for more.

Thanks,
Meg

P.S. If you stay satisfied like you should, I might treat you with some nice fruit sometime.

A Little Bit of Free Time

Here is what I do when I am bored.

I play with light! I am not sure why I like this one so much but I do. Something about it, intrigues me. And I suddenly want popcorn so I think I may go make some =D

It looks like a I have a long neck, like a dinosaur, RAWR! I used to love long neck dinosaurs when I was little =D Little Foot! Ah good memories.

Stole this idea from Ally Klein, though hers looked cooler, I still like mine.
It looks like I ate a light bulb! Uncle Fester!

Though this one looked cool too, kind of blown out but cool.

And I started to play with a pink index card, but then my battery died =[

So I think I may go play with my camera some more.

Back to the adventures of poor college girls in REXBURG!

Once upon a time there were four roommates on Halloween weekend with not much to do on a Friday afternoon. So two of the girls decided to skip off to the gardens for one of the girls portrait photography project (yeah try saying that 10 times fast).

(Pretty pretty!)

After rolling through the leaves, making leaf angels

and making it rain leaves,

the girls skipped off down the hill (well actually they ran...) back to their warm apartment in excitement for a dear sister of one of the girls to come visit!

Katherine Wiscombe came up for the weekend to see her dear sweet sister, Cacia. So the four girls (Cacia, Alisa, Katherine and I (the others were gone for the night/weekend))were planning on going to "Nightmare Before Curfew" but they had a problem... they had.........no ride. (Insert creepy music "dun Dun DUUUUUN!")

But in the midst of their sadness at not being able to dance as wild animals, their tummies began to grumble, like hungry lionesses...the call of Little Caesar's pizza haunted them...and they gave in to the crazy bread and root beer craving.

The hungry girls devoured their lovely pepperoni pizza, crazy bread and root beer. But they knew one thing was missing.....

DESSERT!

And that satisfaction could only come from Sammy's pie shakes.

(For all you East Coasters and unfortunate people who have never heard of Sammy's. Sammy's is a restaurant that started down in Provo. They are famous for the 50's style eatery, loop around counter that you can sit at, or if you want some entertainment, you can sit in the next room and listen to the live band that is playing. They also have THE most AMAZING pie shakes and cupcake shakes EVER!!!!!! They literally use slices of pie or a cupcake in your shake.)

The girls entered into the crowd that filled Sammy's and made their way to the line to order the most heavenly pie shakes ever.

(This is the pumpkin cheesecake pie shake)

While enjoying their amazing shakes, in came four of the scariest sights you could possibly imagine......guys dressed up as Kiss! After taking in this bewildering image, the girls decided it was time to retire to their warm home. After getting home, the girls settled down to enjoy a goofy chick flick and headed off to bed, tummies satisfied and humor compensated until.....Saturday!

Waking up Saturday the 5 girls (Rachel returned) decided it was time for an adventure to

THE ICE CAVES

however

they had poor directions

and ended up in the middle of nowhere
"We're lost!"

but they found a magical door, which they then tried to open

only to find...

some cacti and a dead bird!

They left quickly, but not before exploring the abandoned grounds

(I just love this picture of Rachel and felt I needed to share it =D)

Feeling discouraged, they decided to go down the crazy, bumpy, muddy road to the Civil Court Caves

And headed deep down inside to see what they could find
(Believe it or not, a few weeks back there was a party in this cave called Cave Jam. This WHOLE thing was packed full of people! I didn't go but some of my roommates did, crazy people!)

After getting some better directions they headed for the ice caves!

But it began to rain and the road to the caves is long and VERY VERY VERY bumpy so they decided to go to the sand dunes instead.

However, not realizing how deep the sand was, while trying to park, they got stuck. They tried using branches to dig out the wheels and pushing but nothing worked. Finally they had to rely on the kind hospitality of two nice young men to pull the truck out of the sand.

After a long day they went back home to the quiet boredom of their apartment.

While lounging around some girls invited them to a party at Delta Fi or something like that...the girls lived on the floor above them and you could hear the music from across the street. However, the girls were quite worn out from their adventures and declined saying they might go out later.

But instead they decided to make homemade pizookie (pizza cookie)

Not wanting to share, some of them refused to call a few of the guys to help them eat it, though some of them knew they would not finish this massive cookie. But they ate most of it and it was the best pizookie they had ever made!

Feeling quite satisfied they sat down for a game of

MARIO PARTY 2!!!! on N64!

And they all failed due to not reading the instructions to the games, but had a great time laughing their heads off at their pathetic attempts to win.

Katherine kicked everyone's butt though she had never played before.

In the end the girls had a wonderful time laughing their heads off, whether in the car, going down ridiculous dirt roads, getting stuck in the sand or failing at the easiest games. It only goes to show, it is the simple things in life that make life worth it.

The End. (Until next time)
