Real or Not Real?

Real.
I think those might be my new favorite words.

I just finished the Hunger Games Trilogy in a week, which is a world record for me.
Seriously you're looking (so to speak...) at one of the slowest readers ever.
I won't ruin it for those who haven't read them, but they are great books.
The titles are very fitting, along with the images.
Easy reads.
But amazing.
Suzanne Collins, my hats off to you.

Also to the people who made the movie.
I hadn't read the books at the time, so when I read the first one, I felt I was reading it for a 2nd time already. This cast is pretty great, I just hope they can live up to their characters in the next 2 movies.

I am proud of the directors for not screwing up the book and actually doing it justice.
I also wanna give credit to the people who cast these actors, they clearly knew what they were doing.

In other news I am headed to California in 5 days and I cannot wait!
Also I get to see my family in 4 days!
Maybe it is mood swings, but I have been wanting to be and talk with my family ALLLL the time lately! I love y'all!
Expect HUUUUUUUUUUGE hugs in Friday.
Albert, expect them at work tomorrow.

Geez that was a lot of exclamation marks....

4 months from tomorrow I get married!

Sam called me Mrs. Bonds tonight.
I squealed with joy.
Matt B said he is going to start calling me that too.
I like it.

Spelling "Bonds" in cursive is hard work,
good thing work gives me lots of time to practice.

This week is going to be busy:
Writing a twelve page paper (half way done)
Passing of the Proclamation to the Family memorization
Take the Family Foundations Final
Science project
Clean the apartment
Pack
Switch apartments
California with GARETT =D

I think I can do it.
After all, I get to go to California for a week, that is enough to survive any week.

Read, read, read
Drink milk
Kiss Garett
Life is good

LOST!!!!

Ever have those teachers that confuse the poop out of you? You don't know what I mean? I shall give you an example.

Example: Teacher that LOVES technology and everything they do is online or maybe it is just an online class. Teacher is says "Go post 3 times over the next week in your "groups". Sounds easy enough but then you remember to ask "Where??" You dig around and find maybe 4 possible locations of where this "group board" might exist. But after checking one after the other they all lead to dead ends.

Shortly after your digging around your teacher sends out another 2-3 reminders to GO and post in your groups, but continues to fail to mention WHERE. Also this assignment does not show up on your "assignment list" where you could normally click and it would show you where to go. So where is it???????? Why do some teachers think we are mind readers? Why do they fail to respond to emails? And why do teachers like technology so much?

Does anyone miss actually turning in hard copies of assignments? Does anyone miss the fact that their papers used to not "get lost in cyberspace"? Anyone? Oh just me then? Oh well.

Oh how I miss the days when you had to learn cursive because that was what you would "always" being using to write your papers in the future. Life was simpler back then.

Let us enjoy that most classes are STILL in actual classrooms for now.

Sometimes technology makes
things more complicated
rather than less.

In A Moment

Just some stuff on my mind:

I don't have time anymore. I barely have time to blog when/if I remember. I haven't called anyone on the phone for more than about 10 minutes at a time in weeks. I don't know the last time I REALLY talked to anyone in my family (outside of tonight).

I saw Albert for the first time in 2-3 weeks and he lives 30 seconds away. Sad huh?

I love my New Testament class.

I loathe work.

Sleep and eating 3 meals a day are no longer the highest priorities on my list, thank you work and homework for trying to kill me.

I got to skype a friend of mine Sunday night. Thank goodness for friends that make you laugh.

Friday will not come fast enough.

I guess I'll
sleep when
I'm dead.

Life As I Know It

This is my day in a nutshell:

  • Laptop for looking up assignments and posting art homework.
  • Scriptures for Book of Mormon homework.
  • My phone, wishing I had the numbers of people in my class whenever I am unsure how to go about an assignment which has not happened yet but I know it will eventually.
  • Scissors, ruler, square (which is actually a triangle O.o), special graphite pencils and paper for doing my Drawing 1 and Color and Design homework.
  • Tuna and crackers (which should not be eaten on the bed) but were anyway for a late lunch/snack thing.
  • My English binder.
  • And Paradise Lost for my Humanities homework, which is turning out to be one of my favorite classes oddly enough. My teacher looks EXACTLY like the major from the show "Phinseas and Ferb"!! (see below) Except my teacher realizes it is 7:45am and so he makes the class fun and he is a happy person.

This on the other hand is what I want to be doing:
  • Watching "White Collar" (Thanks Jon for sending this to me to borrow!)
  • Making earrings
  • Eating Jelly Beans
  • Playing Sudoku
  • Enjoying my ice cold water for the 1st time after spilling the first cup....
  • Anything BUT homework (nah my homework is not that bad, just time consuming)

YUMMY TUNA!

So my roommate Nikki just walked in and handed me this:
A butterfingers milkshake.

Have I told you how much I LOVE my roommates?

Because I do!

Yeah that is my life thus far really. Now I am going to finish this milkshake and then go exercise with Nikki. And then relax since I actually finished my homework before midnight today! (Actually I finished it by 7pm! HA! =D)

Today has been a really good Monday. (It was LESS windy today! and got up to 60 degrees!)

Have a fabulous week
Do something nice
for someone
They might just give
you a HUGE HUG!!

One Thought At A Time

I feel like I have not written anything other than just random blips on my life here and there but honestly life has been rather plain this week, minus going to Taco Bell, playing video games for 5 minutes, going to dinner with the crew (roommates and the guys), and running errands with people. And of course your every day church stuff. Today I went to class, came home, slept, did homework, went to class again, came home, slept, and hung out with my roommates while doing homework. Oh and watched "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs". I love that movie! It makes me laugh =D And I hadn't seen it in months which made for a nice change.

Right now I am taking a break from said homework/studying to rest a little. I took two naps today and I am still tired. Yes I know, I am a crazy sleep deprived college student, what is new? But today I had an interesting experience. So twice a year I get these RIDICULOUS mood swings where I am pretty sure I would be diagnosed as crazy because one minute I'm fine, the next I'm extremely angry, then sad, then worried, happy, giddy, loud, quiet, loony, you name it, I go through it. And normally at home I just lock myself in my room for a few days until it passes. But here people expect you to interact with them. This is a BAD idea.

Luckily nothing has been permanently damaged though I do miss that punching bag at home, my right hook is rusty. =[ Nah it hasn't been too bad but mixed with sleep deprivation and caffeine, it makes for an overly hyper, bouncy kid version of me telling everyone in my phone that I love them to bits. Or as many people as I can fit into one text message. Yeah that happened for about an hour today, I'm not sure if I should be glad or annoyed that I was trapped in my math class today for most of it. We weren't doing anything big in class but it was alright.

But tonight was fun. Kind of a run down of what we did Saturday night (Cacia, Alisa and I). I guess I should tell you about Saturday night, it was quite amusing. Alisa, Cacia and I were hanging out, goofing off and they started talking about your natural laugh. Apparently to see your natural laugh, you lay down with your hands across your chest with someone on top of you. They push down on your arms just as you are breathing out and for some reason it makes you laugh. It is weird but it works! It's also funny to watch and laughing is addicting to the point where you're beginning to cry. The best part was it was 1am and Keely and Nicole weren't home. But they walk in with Cacia over Alisa and Keely's face is just pure shock and priceless. Keely looks at me and when I see her face of surprise I just bust out laughing until we're all dying with tears in our eyes and then Nicole walks in with the four of us laughing our heads off and she is looking quite confused which makes us laugh even harder. I am sure I am not portraying the moment very well but I promise, it was one of the best!

Then tonight Brent and Peter came over so us girls could play Call of Duty (though sadly I had homework) and after they left somehow we started reminiscing about this weekend. And the laughing game came up so Keely and Nicole and Rachel were like "I wanna try!" And then Alisa came out so we were all doing it and laughing until tears were coming out of our eyes. As Keely would say "I'm leaking!". I sure am going to miss these girls. Rachel has a deep grumble, so does Alisa, kind of like she is choking. Keely's sounds like some sort of cute animal, like a chuckle. Nicole and I sound alike in chipmunks that just sucked too much helium and are going to die from laughing. But according to Ariana Coombs, I laugh like mom. I guess that is a good thing since mom is so darn cute! But yeah I guess that is life.

Man I am really tired but I still have Book of Mormon homework to do. Yay finals.................yeah. I'll just drink some soda, I should be ok.

And I come home on Saturday! I am reallllly excited! I miss y'all crazy North Carolinian's. Y'all are completely amazing. Man I kinda wish I was mad right now because anyone who knows me, knows I am ridiculously Southern when I'm angry. Everyone here says I don't really have an accent but I don't sound like I'm from Idaho which is a good thing I guess.

Oh and just this weird random little pet peeve I've picked up. The word is FOR! F-O-R! Not Fur! It's only "fur" if you're speaking German. Get it right! I dunno if it's a Western thing or not, I never noticed it back in NC but it is FOR! OR, FOR!!!! BORE! CORE! You don't say "ur" or "cur" F-O-R. Yeah sorry I seriously don't know why but that has been bothering me to no end.

All the same, I love y'all so much and can't wait to be back in the South East <3 Ah geez, I am feeling so Southern right now that I want to leave the g's off of endings and make everything slang, but I won't for sanity's sake. But does it not sound so good to say "I live in the South East"? Middle of the Bible belt where people don't whack you for saying "ma'am" Seriously! Someone told me they got yelled at for calling someone "ma'am". I dunno, that was always respectful back home. But yeah, crazy people. Ah nostalgia, I am thinking in a Southern accent in my head right now. Like I just said "right" like Mrs. Maxey does. "That Riiiiiiiiiiiight angle". Yeah it's that many i's when she says it. All the same, I am off to go study the scriptures and ponder my life over this semester (I'm PRETTY sure that is what my homework says to do....)

Laughter is the best medicine
No really it is
Don't disagree with me
I might whack you one
Or laugh until I cry
Yeah.
Meg

P.S. I love the South <3

If I had a potion, then I would fly!

So.....my life in a nutshell.

In the mornings I do sudoku. It's my only form of relaxation. I do sudoku at West too because Precal is boring, I race Sarah during APES (I kick her butt at sudoku) and we've been watching The Importance of Being Ernest in English. (Wonderful movie!)

Aaron is excited because he has discovered caffeine for the last two full weeks of school. It does help sometimes.

This is why I do sudoku, because everyone else (Jenny, Sophia, Aaron) does homework in the morning. Yes we are such over achievers.

Music + sudoku + caffeine + sleep = Morning

Ryan! He's the coolest freshy I've ever seen, he also happens to have the greatest taste in music of all time! Seriously this kid is amazing!

Eric and the other Ryan. They are our quiet people. They're like me in the morning aka 95% asleep. But they are cool guys.

Eric is a whitey fro! It's pretty cool.

Chase and I hang out in the morning. Half the time I fall asleep though, but he doesn't mind. Other times we have very silly conversations with Sheri-lin.

Chase and Kris! My favorite people! Lunch has been much more fun lately now that Sarah and Kris have joined our lunch group. =]

Yutsil, who is the cutest! And Klaus with his crazy fluffy fro, which is SOOO much fun to play with. You can hide several pencils in there. We've done so quite often.

Such a cute picture of Sarah! But Chase jumped in......grrrrr....silly boy. But I still like this picture. Sarah and I are sudoku dorks! She's also extremely abusive in English....poor Hannah haha

Oh in other news, CVS now sells Izzes!

So that's life so far!

-Sunchips are yummy. Go eat some.
