To Prove I Am Still Alive

I am blogging for the first time in 3 weeks.

Sorry for the delay. School, work, and wedding planning are drowning me. Sadly wedding planning is the only part that is pleasant.

So I guess this will be a quick little update:

  • Color Photo has unrealistic expectations that I can take pictures ANY TIME of  the day. But I can't. This makes assignments hard.
  • Printmaking is fun, and I am not the only one that stinks at it. 4/5 of my class does. Given there are only 12 of us in the class, if that.
  • If I ever remember to scan them in, I will show you my prints.
  • Graphic Design is getting easier, I am kind of bad at that too.
  • Marriage Prep is AMAZING and I actually want to keep the books from my class. Weird never thought I would say that.
  • New Testament. Awesome.
  • Work is of the devil, I think they honestly secretly hate their lives.
  • Anyone have a cure for a constant headache?
  • (sorry those all sound like whining)
  •  On the bright side, for my sanity's sake I go to the Temple twice a week with Haley! =D =D
  • 79 days until I am Megan Bonds (And I can spell it cursive quite fluently, thank you photo lectures for giving me this practice)
  • I have awesome home teachers
  • I miss FHE (weird!)
  • Rexburg is warm
  • Garett and I are eating egg salad tonight YUM!!! (I could eat it by myself...)
  • And I get to teach Relief Society for the first time ever on the 27th! (poor girls!)
That is my life. Great huh?
Also Garett and I are going home this weekend for our engagement pictures and my dress fitting. Gah I can't wait to go home! I never thought I would be so happy to see Utah in my entire life!

Now a random picture of my nephew Nikolai.
Who happens to be the cutest little boy in the entire world!

 Time for sleep.

Cravings A Girl Can't Help

Mexican food!

The wonderful yet cruel Taco Bus has been mocking me from just down the street.
It knows I have been craving Mexican food all week.
Refried beans and enchiladas just sound heavenly right now.
So much I even went out and bought pinto beans to turn um in to REFRIED HEAVEN.
You thought girls would crave chocolate, or peanut butter.
Not me, it's Mexican or Chili Cheese fries delight.

Anyway here are some random cool facts/stories:

I ran into Haley and I's favorite dunker at the bookstore a week and a half ago.
He even recognized me, but couldn't pin-point where.
So I filled him in about being a regular at the Temple on Fridays last fall.
Once I said my last name, he remembered.
Sadly he's not working in the Temple this semester (unless they call him for Thursdays)
I found out his name is Donny Campbell and he is a business major.
It was a pretty awesome and random meeting that made me very happy.

I found the BEST recipe last week.
 Garlic-Lime Chicken.
It is to die for!
Here is the recipe.
It has a nice little spicy kick to it and tastes fantastic!
I highly recommend it.

Haley and I have been going to the Temple again.
We're working on going every Tuesday and Thursday.

Also exciting for me:

97 days until I get married!
Down to double digits!!!!!!!

So that is all.

Have a great day!
Lunch time!
Eat some mexican deliciousness!

Sunhine, Daisies, Buttermellows....

Turn this stupid fat rat yellow.

Just kidding.

But that boy is now currently in Liz's room. Thanks Sam. xP
It is a life size cardboard cut out of Ron Weasley.
Which scares the dickens out of us daily.
Oh so creepy cardboard man, hiding in the bathroom with the lights off ready to attack at any moment.
Cardboard is very dangerous.

Anywho, there are no daisies or buttermellows here (whatever those are), but it is sunny!
I think it might even be above 40 degrees!!!
Woohoo!
Can you say light jacket???? =D =D

I took advantage of this lovely weather and went to the temple this morning with my roommate Vanessa.
For those who are not of the LDS faith you can read more about what we do there at my brothers blog here.

So needless to say, I started off my day quite nicely, went visiting teaching, bonded with roommates, had lunch with Garett and life is gooooood!

Tomorrow Garett and I are having a date night! Yay!
Cocoa Bean and a comedy show, I cannot wait!

*insert desperate attempt to not add lots of mushy gushy lovey stuff about Garett here*

Whew! That was close. I am sure y'all are sick of hearing about him.
But that sucks for you because he is NOT leaving!
Buahahahahaha!

Alright thaaaaat's enough sugar for me.....
Have a great weekend y'all!
Enjoy whatever warmer weather you are having than me, and if not, I am sorry.

My room is still yellow
and happy
and in-love-y

Unexpected

I love unexpected things.

I love coming to the Academy of Comedy and being surprisingly entertained.
(On campus comedy group; I expected them to be kinda lame, sorry!)
I love laughing my head off at said show.
I love meeting people in the most random ways
and then realizing hanging out with them is the best thing ever.
I love going to the Temple regularly.
I love when my classes get canceled.
I love Rexburg despite it being a high of 40 degrees here.

In general this week has been surprisingly great.

And I think it is only going to get better from here. =]

This is What Happens

When you give me a bowl (4 cups) of banana pudding.

I sit down and start eating.....

And eating and eating and eating....
And more eating...

And then I finish it in one day, in one sitting.

And I watch lots of Avatar (which is AWESOME!)
as I let my tummy yell at me for stuffing myself.

But it tasted so good.

Banana pudding is heavenly.

I can text with my tongue
Heck yeah!

P.S. I got to go to the Temple with my
brother today and we did some family
names. It was really cool. =] Thanks
goes to Victor who helped with the
baptismal part. And for not getting
water in my ears.

I Just Came To Say Hello

This weekend has been incredible! Everything about it was wonderful! I will do my best to give you a run down of it without leaving out too much.

Friday I went to the temple and it was wonderful, best way to start off a day. Not to mention the weather was lovely. Then that night, Kaylin, Tyler M, Jaide, Emily, Tyler B, Stirling, Nikki and I went and saw X:Men First Class at the drive-in. I recommend seeing it! =D

After a lovely time watching the movie, we (minus Tyler M and Kaylin) went to Porter Park. We swung on the swings, played freeze tag, where I slid and fell from being chased by Stirling (like I said, don't try to back track in flats on wet grass...not smart). I died laughing when I ate it, and it was completely worth the stains.

We sort of attempted the whipped cream game and it landed on my forehead. Good thing it was dark and no one could see too well.

Saturday like I said, I had 2 photoshoots. One of Cacia and her roommates and then one of Camilo's friend. Check out the ones of Cacia and her friends here. They were dressed as fairies and a blast to work with. More will be put up later. I'm still working on downsizing my favorites list. Went from 672 to 152. Getting there slowly but surely. For the record, these are unedited. I have this thing where I believe pictures should be as natural as they can be and only minor touch ups should be made.

This is one of my favorites. This is an all natural picture, no editing done.
(Below: Andrea and Stephanie, click to enlarge, it looks better bigger)

And this is my other favorite. This is Cacia and Stephanie.

But yes, taking pictures was heaven to me. I love everything about it. Working with the people, trying new things and loving it all. I just wish I didn't have back problems making me have to quit after 5 hours of taking pictures, but still worth every minute of it.

Today we had church, though I had a hard time staying awake. After church Albert and I had dinner with our cousin Stephanie and her husband. It was lots of fun and the food was heavenly. We played hacky sack, some wii and did a puzzle (I thought of you mom <3).

Then I came back home for Sunday Night Dessert (SND) where we had more people than ever before and made homemade oreos. Fun was had by all but the real fun was when the numbers died off. Matt tricked Brett into eating a cookie filled with Crisco instead of icing. Brett ate it all. It was quite enjoyable to watch.

I gave 2 guys, Matt B (Not pictured) and Tom Bugg (He's one of those people you have to say his first and last name, just the way it is) piggy back rides. Matt is easily 150lbs I think and Tom is not far behind him. Yes I gave THEM piggy back rides. Who is beasty? That's right, ME!!!

They were impressed and so was I. Then Tom gave Nikki and I a piggy back ride together and then Matt gave all 3 of us a piggy back ride. We are full of beastiness! =D

After settling down somewhat, Matt, Tom, Conrade, Emily, Nikki, Jaide and I all sat around talking about our biggest fears and terrible/funny experiences. It was a blast!

All in all tonight was wonderful and this weekend was amazing. Best weekend ever!

Hope you all had equally amazing ones

I just came
to say hello
and eat some Crisco

College so far...

There is only one word I can think of to describe college so far, and that is:
SUPERFREAKINAMAZINGTASTICLYWONDERFULLYAWESOMENESS!!!

Yeah I just did that!

But seriously, I love college and everything about it.
The freedom
The AMAZING roommates
The cute boys
The spirit of everyone
The weather (mostly)
The parties
Dinner fun
Movie nights
The teachers
The adventures
EVERYTHING

So just to recap from my last blog...

Friday I went to class, and my Book of Mormon class is freakin sweet! The teacher is amazing and the Spirit was felt so strongly. We watched a video and I hope all that read this will watch it too! It was inspiring and I want to find the actual talk so I can keep it w/ me at all times.

I wish I could say the same for my math class. Both will be lots of work, however I rather study the scriptures all day than do the gazillions of assignments for math. My teacher is pretty dull but I think I miiight.....learn something.....we'll see. Worse comes to worse, it'll be an easy A.

But on to the fun parts of my weekend. So Friday evening came around and Rachel, Alisa, Cacia and I had no plans! HOW SAD!!! So Keely and Nicole were nice enough to invite us to a party they were going to. So we were SOOOO excited, we got dressed up 3 hours beforehand....

Here are a few of the products from our night...

In order left to right (back row: Cacia, Nicole, Alisa, Me. Front Row: Rachel and Keely) Keely is licking her finger because she smacked it on the ceiling when we were doing jumping pictures.

Yeah too excited...

To finish the story....we walked up and down this street trying to find the party. So we saw some HUGE speakers in a window, so we guessed that was it and we were right. It was a blast and we ended up being there for a little over an hour. We met a guy name Simba, yeah pretty cool right?

So when we were walking home, 3 guys and a girl were walking the other way. And suddenly two of them laid down in the middle of the sidewalk....we still don't know what on earth they were doing...but afterward the other guy friend started laughing really hard.....so anyway we came back to the apartment and watched 17 Again with Aaron, Jameson, Trevor and Jake and maybe more guys....I can't remember...

So Saturday Alisa, Cacia, Rachel and I went shopping and got some groceries and a welcome mat that says "Got dirt?" and a cute little rainbow striped rub for our living room. It is quite cute! And brightens up our home. =] We did homework and then decided to go to Jamba Juice and we wanted to go stargazing....but in 30 minutes, the temperature dropped 20 degrees....so we went to the Temple and took pictures! These 3 are for you Aaron:

And of course friend pictures...

Poor Rachel didn't have a jacket...=[

The second this picture was done, we booked it to Rachel's car and headed home and watched ELF with all our roommates and Brent, Mikey and Bill. And played the "HAHA" game. Well, watched some people play. It is where you put your head on someones' stomach until you make a circle. Then you go in a circle saying "HA" without laughing, the next person adding another HA until someone laughs....it always failed at Keely's turn.

So today we went to interviews with the bishopric so they that can give us callings next week. Then we came home and watch Errand of Angels. We went to church and come to find out, Simba is in our ward! How cool is that?? Yeah, so we came home and Bill and Brent came over to make us dinner.

They are both freshmen and have pretty much never cooked a day in their lives...but it's okay, Alisa and Nicole supervised. They made us chicken enchiladas! And they ended up tasting really good!!!
They were actually edible!

See? we ate it!

Our awesome dinner party! (from left to right: Bill, Alisa, Cacia, Rachel, Nicole, Keely, Brent and Mikey) And we ate it ALL gone! Then we made brownies and ate it with ice cream. And Brent, Keely and Nicole showed us some of their clogging moves. (Oh yeah, so Keely and Nicole know these guys from their clogging team back home). So yeah that's it so far! Been awesome!

chicken enchiladaaaaas!!!
HA HA HAHAHAHAHA!
