Tick Tock Tick Tock

So I'm gonna TRY to keep this short, no promises.

Really I'm writing this because I'm procrastinating studying for my drivers license test. Why you may ask? Because banks are DUMB and HAVE TO HAVE your drivers license with your NEW name to get a joint account. Because showing them your marriage license and all that other crap apparently won't do. DUMB. SERIOUSLY DUMB!!!

In other news, I made an awesome Torilla Soup last night. Just google "Red Robin Tortilla Soup" I think it was on one of those Q&A things. Anyway I was super nervous to make it for the Bonds family without having tried it first, but it worked out.

My days are filled with chores and reading "Imagers Intrigue". I am half way and hoping to finish it by next week so I can start "The Way of Kings" This "light read" of 1252 pages is hopefully Brandon Sanderson's best book, which I am anxious to start if I can get back to a regular sleeping pattern.

Garett started work on Monday, to work for the last 2 weeks that we are in Southern California. Lame and odd I know, but I can't complain. So My mornings consist of waking up at 4:30/5:30am to drive him to the bus station, drive home and then TRY to get back to sleep, then picking him up again at 6:30pm. 4 days in and already my sleep schedule is off. Mainly because sleeping alone is HORRIBLE and scary. Who is supposed to cuddle me when I wake up/sleep for 30 mins more? Terrible I tell you, terrible.

Other than him working not much has happened. Taylore is playing water pollo this season and my hats off to her. I'm pretty sure it's as scary as female rugby except in the pool. Those girls are terrifying!

It's starting to hit me that Garett and I are going to have our own apartment soon. It's exciting and a bit nerve wracking. Mostly because rent for married housing looks SO MUCH bigger than single housing. But at the same time I can't wait to start decorating and being settled again.

Not before Albert gets married, Christmas with the Bonds and New Years with my rents. I also realized I have lived at least 4 months in 3 different time zones. The Central time zone remains aloof.

So I'll wrap this up, life is good and quiet, but will be shaken up soon. So off to go study.....or read.....=] Keep in touch!

Dancing fish are kinda scary....

Movie Critic 101

So I have been quite fortunate lately to see Wreck- It-Ralph and Skyfall in the past two weeks.

No worries. I won't give anything away but I will give my opinions of the movies without giving too much away.

First of all Wreck-It-Ralph was AWESOME and AMAZING!
Why? You'll have to go see for yourself to find out.

But for me, I thought it had a great mix for everyone.
It had the girly games, the battle games and the old school games, so no matter who you are, you can relate to this movie in one way or another.

Though it won't show you all the games, you will see lots of familiar characters such as Bowser, Sonic and Pac-man.

It makes you appreciate games in a way you never thought before.
It's funny, goofy and creative with a simple story that leads on a crazy adventure.
I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it and it was wonderful.

I recommend EVERYONE go see it!  As it is, I am kinda picky about movies, so if I say it is great hopefully you can trust that it is. I know seeing movies in theaters can cost and arm and a leg nowadays but this is one movie that I would say is definitely worth it for the whole family.

Now Skyfall, I will have to admit was pretty good.
I haven't seen the other James Bonds movies (I know, I'm terrible) so I have nothing to compare it to. But it was a great action movie that was pretty intense with some gorgeous scenery.
 Also Judi Dench is M.
I have to say she played the roll well, but lets face it.
Judi Dench is awesome.
If you don't know who she is you should be ashamed.

Anyway I thought the movie was good.
Wish Bonds wasn't such a ladies man...could've lived without it.
But other than that the story was awesome and intense and I LOVED the house (pictured above).
Wish I could've seen it in its glory.
If you took out his "love life" I would've given it 5/5 stars.
So maybe just wait until it comes out on Redbox and then see it.

(Sorry, told you I am picky).
Anywho that's whats up. Take your pick.

But one I am looking forward to is The Hobbit! Anyone else up for that?
It's going to be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

In other news Garett and I are headed to Utah next week to see my family!
(YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! Doing a little happy dance)
Can't wait to see everyone and eat LOTS and LOTS of PIE!
For now we are relaxing and Garett is recovering from possibly a mini cold and enjoying the fall weather here.

Random side note, it smelled like snow outside last night even though it was probably 60 degrees. Weird eh? (Don't hate me you Idahoans).

Gah I am missing Bones! Bleh

What's that? What's That?

It was pumpkin carving time!
And Garett and I got the biggest one!
Cleaning it out is always a joy....

Matthew too worked very hard on his.

We even had an electric pumpkin carving tool, pretty legit eh?

Vampire jack-O-lantern

I promise I helped too.

Can you tell who he is supposed to be?
It would help of his head were rounder and white...

Guesses?

In other news we spent our Halloween watching The Dark Knight
and eating the candy that the 5 trick-or-treaters that came by, didn't get.

Outside of running some errands our week has been quiet but nice nothingtheless.
Since I have nothing much to report, I will just ramble on for a minute or two.
Oh and enjoy this cute picture of Garett sleeping (fun fact, I took this about 5 minutes ago and he is still there).

Also I am thinking of collecting pictures of him sleeping because honestly I forget to pull out my camera when he is awake. But I will try to give updates on what we look like awake in case you were dying to know.

My hair is getting too long for my liking and Garett got his hair cut yesterday shorter than normal (but I like it!). And now I am craving dry broccoli with ranch. YUM!

I keep meaning to take pictures of where we live, but either our room doesn't stay clean long enough or it's dark outside before I remember.

We're hoping to go see Wreck-it-Ralph tonight. I'll keep you posted.
Does anyone else think it looks like so much fun?????
I hope it is and that it doesn't disappoint or I will be very sad.

I never realized how nerdy Garett and I were until we got married.
Doesn't help he rubs off on me.

I got on facebook today and EVERYONE got pregnant or had a baby.
I won't lie. I'm KINDA baby hungry....no worries, I know Garett and I aren't ready for that yet. But you have to admit babies are so freakin cute. That and I wanna know what ours will look like. Hoping for some gingers one day.

But for now we're partying it up as a twosome.

Hope all is well in Utah, Idaho, North Carolina or whatever state you're in.

Also I am thankful for my handsome hubby who makes me laugh constantly.

And eat some broccoli
(it is the BEST veggie EVER)
The Bonds

P.S. Random fact, I went from having a very unique name that NO ONE else has on facebook, to one of the most common last names ever. Weird. But now my initials are MAB. Weird....

Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

Sorry I don't blog much anymore. Maybe it is because we only have tiny adventures and rarely ones worth noting, or the few that are interesting, I forget to tell you about.

Not too long ago Garett went hiking up in the mountains.
Fall here is like spring in the rest of the world. It is warm, but not too hot and fruit seems to never stop growing here.
We bought a Wii and a few games thanks to Amazon and their GREAT deals.
So we have fun playing games and cheering each other on.

The best news though happened today.....

WE GOT THE APARTMENT WE WANTED FOR JANUARY!!!!!

We have been on a waiting list since May, but we got it!
It's a beautiful apartment with lots of amenities and I can't wait to move in!
Also we finally got to return the gifts we needed to back to Target and got money back for it! It was more than we expected and now I just want to buy everything at Target. =]

Now we are on to making sure I get all my name changing goodness done.

Basically I LOVE being married and spending 24/7 with my best friend and all the fun silly moments we get to have together. =]

Also I look forward to climbing UP Poopout Trail..
(P.S. There is a reason they call it Poopout! We only went down it, but it was hard)
Basically it is a 50-60 degree angled slope, with drop offs on both sides and the trail is a lot of loose dirt with not great grasp.

needless to say, it's a bit nerve wracking unless you can do it while jumping and sliding quickly.

Also my sweet husband tried to save my life from a snake.
He saw that I was close to stepping on it and shoved me out of the way instantly.
Glad to know his reflexes are to save me.
Isn't he sweet?
I was flattered.
Such a great husband <3>

In other news I got to talk to my sister for a long while and this week has been a generally good week for catching up with my family.

I can't wait to see them in a month! =D

Garett and I are now Sunday School teachers for the 16 year olds in the ward. They are very smart but a bit intimidating, I think I rather teach Relief Society (That is a Sunday school class for adult women)

All in all life is good. Keeping up with my favorite shows, keeping up with people and relaxing in California with my new family.

Hope all is well for y'all and hope to hear from you soon. =]
Shoot me a text, call, email, facebook message or whatever works for you.

Have a great week!

Truth Be Told and Other Happenings

I will be completely honest with you, this post is MOSTLY to dote on my ADORABLE nephew. So if you don't want to see about 15 pictures of the cutest little boy in the world, then skip down 2/3 of the page to the other stuff in this blog. For now enjoy some crazy cute pictures of Nikolai.
Part of why I am doing this is partially out of homesickness and partially because I keep having dreams about my dear sweet Nikolai and it makes me miss him.

Ok so for this picture below, I feel if you put glasses on him he would look like a baby version of that kid from Meet the Robinsons. Anyone else agree? Maybe I'm just crazy.

Modeling baby anyone?
(Plus his shirt is really cool ;D)

What you lookin' at?

This tamagotchi is so delicous.....

He found my camera.
He likes cameras.

I feel he is ready to give a BIG hug. =]

I think i said his name.

Turtle turtle.

Ooooo shinny...

=]

=]

He can stand so well =]

I am this tall.

In other news Garett and I had a lovely 11 hour drive from Utah to California. It should have been 9 1/2 hours but when we were an hour away from being home there was an accident on I-15 South & a brush fire on I-15 North in around the same area. Needless to say ALLLLLLLLLL lanes of traffic were shut down for probably 2 hours

Thankfully our WONDERFUL GPS found a detour for us so we could get home.

Now for random pictures from our trip:

This ride looks intense....

Vegas castle thing. It makes me think of legos...

The black pyramid

This road makes me laugh every time but also want to sleep.

As soon as I saw this sign I got excited and yelled "IT DOES EXIST!"
(see video below)

Garett grew a beard.

Then shaved it into a goatee.

Yeah it's gone now.

In other news I have been CRAVING to play Pikmin 2. Not sure why but I just really want to play it.
Maybe it's because Pikmin are kinda cute and Garett plays as Olimar on Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

Anyway that is all for now. California is gorgeous and I am slowly learning my way around. I can now get to most all of the important stores in Glendora.

Ah Glendora, does anyone else think it sounds like a fairyland? (It might as well be, it really is gorgeous here!)

Once Upon A Time Season 2 starts tonight as well As The Mentalist Season 5!
CAN'T WAIT!!!

Off to go get ready for church =]

Nothing Comes From Nothing

Nothing ever could,
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good.
(Love that song & movie. It was my favorite growing up, can anyone name it? I know my mom can!)

Anyway for the last several weeks I have felt like I have been in limbo, homeless with no foreseeable ending to our travels. Trust me, living out of one suitcase for 8 weeks is NOT fun. Also just not being able to do anything gets tedious.

But I am happy to say we have things worked out now and we will be returning to the GLORIOUS California next week. Not that I don't adore my family here, I do I really do, but I am ready to be settled in for a bit and to see my in-laws. Trust me, if you had in-laws as awesome as mine you would want to hang out with them too.

In other news Garett grew out his beard for 2 1/2 weeks.
It was fun. Both him and my brother-in-law Jessie had beards together, it was pretty cool.

I have also gotten to play with my ADORABLE nephew Nikolai.

I think he is starting to get used to me. =]

Too bad he won't remember me when I come back in January.
But all the same, he's been a blast.
Watching him teethe , stand up and walk along the edge of the couch before falling over has been fun (well not so much the tooth thing).

And of course the great faces he makes and his ability to entertain himself with Garett's watch for ALL of church. Seriously $10 watch for a quiet baby for 3 hours? That's a fair trade!

All in all my visit with my family has been a blast. I love being with them and all the silly happenings that go on here. I have enjoyed being here and I can't wait to go to California and be able to start getting things done for my little family of two.

I have such a great man. Everyone tells me so, so it must be true right?
I have learned life is unpredictable and obnoxious but you have to go with the flow and enjoy it. There will be plenty of moments in life where we have no time to rest, sleep or get the things done that we need. So this has been a nice quiet start to our marriage, and it will be a fun crazy ride. =]

In and Out burgers are actually
the same size as on the picture!
Yes this is a new and thrilling
finding of mine.
Don't judge my East Coast-ness =]
