Memories, Memories

Okay so before I get to the picture frenzy that came from my photography nightmares last night and my gratefulness that they weren't real, I must tell you the CUTEST story ever!

Today at work this little girl (probably around 5 years old), blonde hair, blue eyes, came up to me and asked what she could get with the change in her hand. Looking down, she was holding about 6 pennies. (The cheapest things we have are 75 cents). Jay (The janitor, this big black guy who happens to be the biggest, sweetest teddy bear you'll ever meet) notices this little girls' dilemma. So he walks over and asks if she would like a smoothie. She nods, clearly excited by the idea. Jay says he will pay for it. I ask her which one she wants (but not really being able to read, she chooses the first one I mention, giddy as can be). So I start to make her smoothie and her eyes get huge with excitement. You know, the wide, adorable eyes that only kids can make? Yeah.

As I am making it, one of the life guards comes up to get a smoothie too. As she is standing there waiting, the little girl looks up at her, then points to the smoothie and says "That one is mine!!!" The life guard laughs and agreed that she is getting a good smoothie. So I finish the smoothie and then hand it to her. She thanks me and bounces off happy as could be. I turned to Jay and thanked him for his kindness.

And yeah so that basically just made my heart melt! She was so cute and Jay was so sweet and it made my whole night worth it. After all the other frustrating customers, she was my favorite and she made my whole night better. Plus it is nice to know there is still some compassion left in this world. It reminds me of that show Undercover Boss. They seem to find the NICEST people as employees and often I feel the same way. I am surrounded by the sweetest, kindest people at work and I love it, it makes work a WHOLE lot easier. =]

Okay onto my picture frenzy. For the record I do have photography nightmares about losing my memory card after getting a new camera & finding every other size and shape memory card BUT mine. Or not having my camera for an AMAZING photography opportunity. I wake up gasping and depressed, and then glad that it wasn't real. So I felt it was clearly time to pull out my camera.

I finally started using my weights again! And doing sit-ups and all that good stuff.

My awesome bag that I love! Can you spot my sudoku book?
(My Kenken book was in the living room this morning)

I cleaned my room and my bed is made =D
Seeing this makes me want to jump on it, how about you?

This is me dressing down, and bored. Waiting for mom to finish her stuff so we can watch a MOVIE! (We watched a B&W Lucile Ball murder mystery, it was AWESOME)

This just kinda looked cool. =]
(Below)

Grr?

So my thought process here is "I love my camera! HUGS!"
(I also love hugs!)

Been working on my scripture study. I kinda got out of practice when I came home. But I'm improving. =] It's called "learning to go to bed at a decent hour and planning accordingly".

My shoe fell like this and I thought it was pretttttttty awesome!

Side view!

ZOOM!

Picture frenzy. Love of shoes, love of photography. Enough said.

And again!

Fun with DoF (Depth of Field)

Gonna wipe off the dust and put these to good use.

A Little Bit of Free Time

Here is what I do when I am bored.

I play with light! I am not sure why I like this one so much but I do. Something about it, intrigues me. And I suddenly want popcorn so I think I may go make some =D

It looks like a I have a long neck, like a dinosaur, RAWR! I used to love long neck dinosaurs when I was little =D Little Foot! Ah good memories.

Stole this idea from Ally Klein, though hers looked cooler, I still like mine.
It looks like I ate a light bulb! Uncle Fester!

Though this one looked cool too, kind of blown out but cool.

And I started to play with a pink index card, but then my battery died =[

So I think I may go play with my camera some more.
Lighting is amazing!

Control light then you can control the picture

My thought process in a few minutes

I am hungry....But why am I hungry? I just ate dinner *looks at clock* oh I guess an hour ago. But Chase says my stomach is the size of my fist *makes fist* dang it....I have tiny hands. That doesn't sound right, otherwise I over eat WAAAY too much....that or food compacts into a third of the size that it starts out as. Speaking of fractions, I need to work on those recipes. Man I've been working or trying to work on those for...2 weeks now? Maybe less....and I'm only in the C's.....dang. Now I wanna make cookies! Oooo cookies! But they're more fun w/ friends. I'll make um tomorrow, but I also wanna hang w/ Kris and. get that camera from Anji.

Ah cameras! I haven't used mine in forever! OOO must take pictures this week, better remind myself *makes note on phone* Dang I have other stuff to do today too. Meh, I should stop blogging but I am so excited! Alisa finally added our roommates on facebook! Which makes me waaay too excited for college, ah college...stealing all my money but at least I have enough money for rent this fall, finally. What an accomplishment, I'm so proud of myself! =] Alright Megan, chill out that ego there. Ouch! Sunburn...yeah so if you go swimming and get sun burnt, just because it looks mostly gone the next day, doesn't mean you should go swimming again. Eh it's not that bad.

Agggh now I'm cold. Oh which reminds me, I finally learned my comfort zone is from 74 to 80 degrees =] Ah I like controlling temperatures. Uggh like when you go to a persons' house and it's negative 20 and you're shivering your butt off and they look at you like you're crazy because you are cold. Then you feel lame for feeling cold but you can't even go get a blanket because it's not your house and you can't feel your feet anyway! That's why I bring a jacket or 2 to church, and I am going to Idaho......I Am Brilliant......yeah that's it, brilliant.

Well now I am cold and will actually work on those recipes for college........................ooo I bet Catherine will make cookies with me when she gets here! Her and Jesse come Wednesday!!!! Yayayayayayay!!!

Home baked cookies are warm!
Nap outside?

Senior Date Auction Tonight! I'm going w/ a bunch of people (aka Hannah, Lizzy, Klaus, Yutsil and maybe Chase?) So that should be fun, They have been putting on corny announcements for it at school. Ah the cheesiness alone could kill someone.

Ummm....bum..dee...bum....dee...bummmmmm.......

I bought some cute earrings at Forever 21!

http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=acc%5Fearrings&product%5Fid=1000001531&Page=2&pgcount=25

http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=FOREVER21&category%5Fname=acc%5Fjewelry&product%5Fid=1070318168&Page=2&pgcount=25

I think I am going to start buying all of my jewelry from there because it is actually decently priced and extremely cute!

Yup yup yup! I ACTUALLY bought something from Forever 21! ha! I have a hard time with their clothes though because the store is poorly laid out and so big that I get overwhelmed. But one can never go wrong with accessories and shoes.

Also I want Sonic right now along with Mozzarella sticks dipped in garlic butter.....mmmmmm....*drools* by the way why is mozzarella so hard to spell? I don't like it. You never know how many of what letter to put, are there two z's, r's, l's? make it simple, put one of each letter. Don't confuse me by sticking more letters than is necessary.

Oh some exciting news! (Probably only to me though...) I get to use a medium format camera this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For all those who are not photography dorks....it means it's a nice, old camera that uses bigger film. Like around 2x3 inches or soo..... but yes aaaah I am sooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!! Ah I love cameras, I should not be THIS excited but I am! Oh and we are doing commercial adds in the studio but C-berry is making it waaaay too complicated with crazy backgrounds and junk. What ever happened to simplicity? Isn't that why people think their friends are the best photographers, because they know how to walk up close to an object and go SNAP!? It is a bit sad I must admit but quite true in so many ways. Any idiot can take a decent picture by accident. A photographer takes an awesome picture but does it intentionally and could repeat it at any time. Sorry.....ranting.....I am very opinionated on such a topic but it is my passion and I do not like it misinterpreted. I could go into more stuff about how people think photography is a joke but that would cause me to get extremely angry and probably yell and scream and possibly break something. That is no good though because I am currently around expensive objects.

Anywhoooooo......time for lunch. Talk at ya later!
