Just wanted to Say

I found this picture in my vast photographic archives.

And it made me miss North Carolina.

But it is okay because they are finally putting the flowers in on campus (Yes they have to plant them every season because they don't come back on their own).

It keeps raining here and it begins to smell like the East.

As pretty as it is here, I still think North Carolina is the prettiest place in the world.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, especially you Mom & Dad. Have a wonderful 25th Anniversary!

And I hope you feel better my dear sister!

I love you all!

Happy Friday!

Eating muddy buddies with your roommates at 1am?
AWESOME!

So my weekend consisted of having a lovely lunch with Sarah (viewed below with me) and Kris (the one wearing green) Sarah is crazy and fun. She's in my AP Enviro class and AP Lit class. =] She lives on Bridgewood by the pond.

As you can see we had a fun time goofing off, then off went we went to blow bubbles in Mrs.Woods class for the whole period =] But before hand I could not wait, so I blew bubbles during the 20 minute break at the cc, and Sarah, Yutsil, Kris and I blew bubbles at lunch!

After school, Lizzy, Chase and I went and saw Iron Man II which was VERY good though the first half sucked. After the movie I went over to Kris's house (which is crazy cool) for a study session for AP Environmental with her and Hannah. But it fell through a bit......Anywhoo... It's her parent's retirement home, so it's kinda modern but still kinda fancy. In Kris's room, she has a ladder up to this little room area that connects to her sister's room too. But it's awesome because she can draw or paint anything she wants on the walls. =] Oh she is also an AMAZING artist, along with a passion for books, cooking, sewing, etc. Yeah, you name it, she does it. She's home schooled except for taking AP Enviro and West.
So Yeah we had fun hanging out on her roof and chatting. =] Then Hannah came over and we talked more. And ate and talked more and fb stalked people. Finally it was late and I had to go.....so.......
I invited them for a sleepover at my house. =] And we watched Julia & Julie. It was good though not really my type of movie. But Hannah loves to cook so she was thrilled. But I still love Amy Adams. It was still lots and lots of fun hanging with them =]

So Saturday Chase's parents got their vows renewed (seen below)
His mom was wearing very cute shoes!

We threw rice and bird seed on them

And I got a lovely family picture of them =]

Chase looked too good to pass up a nice picture of him (He doesn't let me very often) =[

Proof that spring has arrived

And I enjoy each moment of spring

pretty pretty!

Then our family went to Red Lobster for Aaron's birthday dinner. (Not that mom minded one bit) =] Overall it has been a great weekend!

Senior Date Auction Tonight! I'm going w/ a bunch of people (aka Hannah, Lizzy, Klaus, Yutsil and maybe Chase?) So that should be fun, They have been putting on corny announcements for it at school. Ah the cheesiness alone could kill someone.

Ummm....bum..dee...bum....dee...bummmmmm.......

I bought some cute earrings at Forever 21!

I think I am going to start buying all of my jewelry from there because it is actually decently priced and extremely cute!

Yup yup yup! I ACTUALLY bought something from Forever 21! ha! I have a hard time with their clothes though because the store is poorly laid out and so big that I get overwhelmed. But one can never go wrong with accessories and shoes.

Also I want Sonic right now along with Mozzarella sticks dipped in garlic butter.....mmmmmm....*drools* by the way why is mozzarella so hard to spell? I don't like it. You never know how many of what letter to put, are there two z's, r's, l's? make it simple, put one of each letter. Don't confuse me by sticking more letters than is necessary.

Oh some exciting news! (Probably only to me though...) I get to use a medium format camera this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For all those who are not photography dorks....it means it's a nice, old camera that uses bigger film. Like around 2x3 inches or soo..... but yes aaaah I am sooooooooooooooooo excited!!!!! Ah I love cameras, I should not be THIS excited but I am! Oh and we are doing commercial adds in the studio but C-berry is making it waaaay too complicated with crazy backgrounds and junk. What ever happened to simplicity? Isn't that why people think their friends are the best photographers, because they know how to walk up close to an object and go SNAP!? It is a bit sad I must admit but quite true in so many ways. Any idiot can take a decent picture by accident. A photographer takes an awesome picture but does it intentionally and could repeat it at any time. Sorry.....ranting.....I am very opinionated on such a topic but it is my passion and I do not like it misinterpreted. I could go into more stuff about how people think photography is a joke but that would cause me to get extremely angry and probably yell and scream and possibly break something. That is no good though because I am currently around expensive objects.

Anywhoooooo......time for lunch. Talk at ya later!

Lucky Day

"Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to Great Places! You're off and away!" (http://homepages.ius.edu/HARRISLA/places.htm)

To start off, the quote above is from one of my favorite books of the amazing Dr.Seuss. Ever have those days that surprise you? Either something shocking are awesome happens? This week has been one strange, happy weeks. It seems my teachers magically decided to be nice and charming for a week. This week my Environmental teacher decided that rather than giving us a long, hard test on toxicity and risks, to give us two worksheets, as a completion grade and test grade. You cannot get much kinder than that. But to add to the shock of life, Wood decided to give us lots of super easy quizzes this week, acing each one made my week a little bit brighter. If that could not be better, I finished my (crazy, insane, brand new, not quite impossible, huge part of my grade) project for photography. To finish such a ridiculous thing feels amazing. not to mention the 72 degree weather for most of the week and beating chase at Spite and Malice 3 times. To top the week off with come ice cream and enjoying a Thursday night, church activity, life is good.

Well I might as well back up just a tad to this weekend, which was quite fun as well. Saturday I woke up and showered, then went out to lunch with my mom and shopping. We had a great time chatting it up and being together, My only regret is that I do not get to hang out with her as often as I would like. After shopping, Chase took me to Cafe Gelato, the cutest Italian ice cream shop ever. The woman who owns the place was very sweet and had the coolest accent but I could not make out where her origin was. We finished up our afternoon by going to the mall to get a present for Lizzy. Lizzy's birthday party was a blast with balloons, pizza, soda, snacks and watching Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. Along with hanging out and talking, since we all know teens can talk forever.

I guess that sums up most all of my exciting news. Except I have had little homework, actually enjoy Wuthering Heights and am ready to hit spring break, pillow first. Hey you can not blame a girl for wanting to sleep.

spring her I come,
Meg

New Day

So.....new day, another day of doing NOTHING!!! How exciting...Best part is, I still have an hour of class. I guess I shall talk about......WEATHER!!! Yeah so it has been ridiculously freezing these past several weeks and I am ready for spring. Bring on the sunshine, rain, and breezes please. I am completely a spring person since I have no allergies, making spring easily my favorite time of the year. The weather is gorgeous. Living in the south, I get to see every season for the unique beauty each brings.

Summer is hot, where the best adventures happen at the pool or in an ice cold movie theater, watching chick flicks, comedies, or adventure films. Either way you kind ways to beat the heat.

Fall on the other hand is an amazing sight to photograph. The mix of reds, oranges, yellows and browns with an occasional mix of green and purple bring a welcoming sight to those fortunate to live or visit here.

Winter rarely brings snow, but when the weather decides to drop a fluffy, white present, joy fills every child and even many adults. The chance to stay home, go sledding and drink tons of hot cocoa with friends and family is one people cannot pass up.

Then of course, there is my favorite, SPRING! The perfect mix of sunshine, rain, flowers, breezes and warm temperatures. Great of running, biking or any out door activities. Picnics with friends, or just laying in the grass for a Sunday naps or looking at the new flowers blooming, saying "hello world". Or for me, spring means buying new dresses and shoes along with bright colors insight at each turn.

Like today, a perfect 65 degree day, after a pleasant visit to some quite sweet people in Mt.Airy, I came home for a peaceful nap on the porch swing. Seasons are amazing whether you like the snow and cold of the hot blistering summers, you can not pass up the beauty of nature.

Take a walk,
Meg
