Being A Kid For A Day

So today I went to go hang out with the Snow boys for the afternoon before I leave on Friday.

Bennett wanted to ride bikes =D ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!!!

The only thing he could yell was "Faster! Faster!"

This 3 year old doesn't do anything slowly.

Plus he's adorable.

He had me help him get down the driveway.
But apparently I wasn't fast enough between holding him, the camera and another bike.

He likes to be the chaser.
But not getting chased.

And Grant was speedy on his scooter!
ZOOOMM!!!!!

But Bennett decided to take a break from all that biking.
Chillin on the bike.

Grant decide to rest too.
He was excited to show me that the bike would not roll backwards if you decided to rest.

By the way, this is the COOLEST bike ever!

The back wheels spin openly so the front wheel serves as the pivot.

It's like that swirl-a-whirl at the fair, but on a BIKE!

It is awesome!!!

I am totally going to buy one of these now. They should make them for adults.

After all that exercise we went inside to play some "old fashioned" video games.
(That's what the boys call N64....)
But to them, it is still new and exciting. =]

Good to share old school with the young ones. =]

Like Poke'mon Stadium.

They were addicted.

Bennett was amazed how "big" the games were.

Oh how easily amused the minds of 3 year olds are.

Told you he was cute!

Nate and Grant battling like all siblings do. (Or at least mine).

And Bennett continues his amusement with the games in his own way.

Of course after all this, Bennett got glue-like hair gel ALL in his hair and had a lovely time trying to get it out considering NO ONE was allowed to help him except his mother but Grant ended up bribing him with pennies.

Yup, gotta love 3 year olds. =]

Before I left I got a hug from Bennett, Nate even let me hug him and Grant gave me TWO hugs!
(Grant gives the best hugs!)

I'm going to miss these boys, having spent the past 4 or so years babysitting them.

I'm amazed at how much they have grown but wouldn't trade my experiences and adventures with them for anything in the world.

These boys truly are amazing.

Go ride your bike in a circle
Do something silly
Fuss over nothing
Get excited over the small things
Laugh always
And say cheeeeeeeesssse
as wide as you can

Some adventues in no particular order

Hannah and Lizzy spent the night a little over a week ago. This is when Hannah and I went to Food Lion to get ice cream. =]

And I was SOOO tempted to get Cheerwine popcicles!

But I didn't give in.

Then a few days before all of this...

Robert and I had breakfast for dinner.
TINY BANANA PANCAKE!!!

And big banana pancakes with chunky peanut butter and syrup!
I promise it tastes MUCH better than it looks.

Some time ago, Yutsil and I went to Starbucks
And she found some sort of spearmint tea that opened up her sinuses.

She was thrilled.

It also smelled like gum.

This is how to solve a rubix cube.
Confused yet?

Then Friday was Lizzy's birthday so her, Klaus, Speros and I went to Olive Garden.

Too bad Lizzy and I weren't very hungry.

But we picked up Hannah and went to Klaus's to watch The Wild Thornberry's =]
Not sure where Speros went.....

he WAS where those pillows were because he kept beating everyone with them.

Oh Speros.

Hannah spent the night and she was OUT of it.
How cute!
(Don't hate me for this Hannah!)

And of course I have been trying to break in my shoes.
I like um!

There is no story for this picture.
Fans are just fun to take pictures of.

And finally my new phone.
It's shiny.

I like it!

Eat something fatty!
Then work off twice as much as you ate.
Then dance!

Bangs

I realized last Wednesday that I promised pictures of my bangs the next day.

Sadly it has been a few days since with no pictures. So here are some better pictures of my bangs.

I sort of like them. I like them if I am wearing a classy outfit, but with a tshirt and sweats I look like I'm 8.

Even worse with glasses.

No. I will not put pictures up of my glasses with this hair.

I just can't wait until I can put my hair in a ponytail again (my bangs look cute with my hair in a ponytail) because then I look like a brunnette version of Kristen Bell in "You Again".

Redbox it, it's really cute.

Try something new
maybe a little scary
but you'll never know
until you try =]

Motivation? Zero. Video games? Lots.

So I have 10 days left until I go back out West. I think my body is anxious because I haven't slept well at all in days.

On the bright side, I have gotten to see several of my friends before I leave and play loads of video games. Robert and I played some N64 and Wii Thursday.
Friday night, Hannah and I played some Mario Kart Wii.
Then Saturday I introduced the Snow boys to N64 (they were less than thrilled with how difficult the original Mario Kart was) but they adored Poke'mon Stadium. (figured right?)
but of course after playing with them, what did Hannah want to do? But play Mario Kart with Lizzy and I =D

I think the best part was when we were deciding which one to play, Hannah says "The one we played last night", yes because I can totally remember what I played with you over every other person I have played video games with in the past 3 days. But it was all good, and Lizzy made a great come back and kicked our butts.

In other news, I have been craving Fun Dip.
Oh the brilliance of the Wonka company =D

And how could we ever forget Peanut Butter M&M's????
(Only the best kind ever!) And my friend Sam tried them for the first time yesterday! O.o
And of course he was immediately addicted to them.

I wish I still had some left =[

But as I said, Hannah and Lizzy came over Saturday night, but not before Hannah and I made a late night Food Lion run to get ice cream (because we had none in the house), And of course Hannah wore her stunning pjs to the store. We found a great deal on Edy's ice cream, buy one, get one free! Edy's is normally expensive so who could say no to that?

Lizzy's pretty self!

And Hannah!
Is going to suddenly become Asian (it was late, and we were tired).

=]

But of course, we made pizzokie.
One giant cookie!

Amazing?

YESSS!!!!!!

This is after I had my way with it....teeheehee
Heart attack anyone?
Or should I say, delicious heart attack.

My best friends with an awesome treat.
That we barely made a dent in.

But it was still delicious! =D

In other news, I hung out with Sam yesterday, just caught up some more since we rarely get to see each other. And then I went over to Marissa's and we watched "Freedom Writers" (which was very good by the way). Overall, I've had a good weekend.

Now if I can get a good night sleep. Oh and working like crazy this week.

Jump up and down if you're a dork
(Yes, I am jumping up and down)
Now go hug somebody!

MY LITTLE BROTHER, AARON, GOT HIS BRACES OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

How great does he look? I mean he always looked handsome, but now his braces are gone! =D

Perfect teeth! I'm a bit jealous but grateful that I never needed braces.

I love you Aaron!

You look awesome!

You know you have enough...

Hairspray and mousse when you're hair does this....

WITHOUT any clips and such to hold it up.

Not kidding, I took the clips out and it stayed like this.

Sadly it didn't turn out as cute as normal once I tried to fix it, but it was okay.

Sour skittles
German Chocolate
Mountain Dew Code Red
Fun Dip

There and Back Again

A Megan's tale.

For the record, yes I did just watch the first Lord of the Rings the other day.

My tale began at 9am this morning when the doorbell rang. Matt Hiatt was nice enough to give me a ride to Pilot Moutain, where him, Chris, David and myself were going hiking. We picked up Chris along the way and off we went.

Matt was kind enough to provide nostalgic music from stuff we all used to listen to back in the day, such as Jack Johnson, Michael Jackson, Weezer, Oasis and Greenday. We had a lovely time reflecting on the days when "Beverly Hills" came out on the radio and that is what everyone listened to and got sick of not quickly enough.

Of course riding with someone who hasn't really driven in North Caqrolina is several years, we took a little scenic route thanks to Google Maps...

And of course, Google Maps wasn't the only thing that lied. They said there would be no rain until 3pm, at 10am, it was raining.

After parking and meeting up with David, we started down a trail, but being with guys, we took come sort of "lets just call it a path of some sort"and ended up on some other trail. Being the great sports we are, we went along with it and may or may not have taken several "this might've been a trail once" detours. Of course we were up in a cloud, so the overlook was amazing and white, and more white. It was quite a sight.

So between getting decently soaked from the rain and attempting to hide from Chris while he went to relieve himself, it was quite fun.

Oh I guess I should add one part that made my easily amused self laugh. You see, I have always had this theory that they make guys pockets huge so they can fit 5 course meals in their pockets. While looking at the trail map, Matt offers some granola bars to use and pulls out several, given I have no idea where those came from because I swear his pockets looked empty. Then Chris remarks that he a bagel with peanut butter and pulls that out of thin air......*pause to imagine this odd sighting*......can I just say, guys are so weird. Who carries food in their pockets????? All the same, I had laugh since i am always saying it's possible to fit everything in pockets.

I'm sorry, our adventure was not that great but to make you feel better, we came up with one on our hike. So David got pushed down the mountain and magically survived. When he finally stopped rolling, he ran into a bear, but the only thing he had to defend himself was a snake on a walking stick. So he made the snake on the stick, fight the bear until the bear died, and then David beat the snake with his stick until it died too, then he came back and pushed Matt down the mountain (repeat story). Great stuff huh? No story is truly great without a bear, a snake, and a good walking stick.

We also decided we were going to grow cucumbers with my cucumber seeds (that I just happened to bring) and David's water and Matt's magic growth serum. (Apparently it's a Korean thing to eat cucumbers when you hike.)

Now on to my afternoon.

We finally got me a new suitcase since my other one had a little mishap on the way back from Idaho/Utah.
R.I.P. Forest Green suitcase. =[ Welcome new silver one!

I found some magnets for $1!!! (The garden/fruit ones)
I have this recent obsession with magnets since I found it nearly impossible to find ANY in Rexburg. =/

This is my: I got an unexpected 2nd shower today (rain) so my hair is in a ghetto ponytail look.

Despite my lazy day look, I took my little brother Aaron (below) and his friend Eric (not pictured) out for a little shopping adventure, where we met up with Matt Brown.

Isn't he just awesome sauce? And the bomb dot com? But he is not a cupcake piggy bank.
(Yet all of those are SO much fun to say).

So we explored World Market for a long while, sitting in comfy bowl chairs, playing with simple, slightly lame, easily amusing toys, along with looking at strange foods/beverages and water from Europe (Oooooo......Voss).

After power walking around the store, we decided to be fatties!
Nothing says "Let's gain 10lbs" like buying a dozen doughnuts! =D

Sadly Matt is easily tricked and ended up buying a dozen for himself because the lady lied and said 6 doughnuts would cost as much as a dozen. Poor Matt, tricked into being a fatty.

But we got some awesome Pomegranate soda!!!
Yum! So awesome, I had to put 2 pictures up. =]

It is delicious! Can't go wrong with pomegranate. Plus it's fun to say.

Just to show how dorky I am, as if wandering through World Market all day isn't weird enough....

I found a Sudoku Rubix Cube.
No, you heard me right the first time. It's my 2 favorite things into ONE!

So of course I HAD to get it. =]

And Eric got some Pocky.
Japanese chocolate covered biscuits. YUM!

Also being my dork self, I found some limited German chocolate!
Mint and German chocolate, heaven much?

Finally, Aaron found a Ramen bowl.

Which is perfect because he eats a LOT of Ramen.
How cute it that?

And how cute is my brother?
Him and his ramen, and oh so happy.

And that was our day. =] It was lots of fun. Now to go hobble off to bed now that my legs are starting to feel all that hiking and detouring this morning.

Have a great day!

Bangs on Thursday
Excited?
Yes
