Our New Home!!!

As promised here are pictures of Garett and I's new little home. Starting with our bathroom. Seen on the door is the most comfy, fluffy bathrobe. I'm pretty sure my mother-in-law is brilliant when it comes to knowing what is needed to survive in a very cold Idaho.

Loving our little bathroom cabinet and the deepest drawers ever.

Our room.

Our living room which I am in love with.
Still working on getting pictures up on the wall. Thanks to all those who helped us get settled in quickly and happily. I know the 3rd floor is not ideal for getting furniture into.

And as promised a picture of our egg chair. Best $6 we ever spent!
It spins and rocks!
Sorry for the weird cover, I didn't like the original material.
(Looking up DIY reupholstering)

Our bookshelf which is my other love.
Books, movies, games, FAMILY and two sweet German hummels.

Behind that door is way too much snow.
But inside is our little Bonds home.

Looking from our living room into the dining room.

Our dining room and kitchen.

 Where we cook daily.

Our fridge has the greatest mustache I have ever seen.
And our Menu organizer is so handy. Thanks Cathie!

And finally my most favorite gift.
Thank you Lizzy!
When I saw someone got this on our registry I was the happiest little baker ever!

Even more amazing they have hand and foot cutters.
What you would use them for....I have no clue.
But I will use them!
Maybe for a semi-creepy baby shower?

That is our little home where this tiny Bonds family happily resides.
We are relearning to handle enjoy this frigid town.
Tomorrow the high is 9 degrees.
Here's to staying indoors tomorrow drinking hot cocoa, making muffins and probably having a Mentalist marathon. Anyone else want in on that?

Hoping where you
are is MUCH warmer
than here.

Happy New Year!

A week late!

I'll keep this quick.
Sorry I haven't been blogging much lately.
Life has been crazy/lazy these last 4 months.
Now Garett and I are settled into our new apartment, with only a few minor things to put away..........somewhere.......
Pictures will be up soon.
Now that we have out own apartment, I just want to invite EVERYONE over.
Not sure why, but it is a craving I have so we have already invited several people over in the 3 days we have been here.

Basically I LOVE being married.
Growing up is scary and fun though.
I can't remember anything before August except freaking out a lot because I didn't have time to breathe.
I HATE unpacking 23,094,283,747 boxes!
But love seeing the results.
I am nervous/excited for our new ward.
I feel like there is singles land and married land and they are SO far apart.
I'm in love with our egg chair (pictures soon).
What to do you when you wake up at 9 and church is at 1:30?
Blog.

Anyway I will update more when I have fun pictures to go along with them.
Congrats to Albert and Wendy and best of luck to you!
Have fun unpacking....xP

And everyone come stay with Garett and I please???
P.S. Lizzy, you got me the best wedding/Christmas present ever!
I am going to bake cookies ALLLLL the time now!

N64 with Garett
is my favorite <3 p="p">

Random Thoughts and Adventures From Dear Old North Carolina

Like I promised, I am now updating you on my adventures from the past week. They will not be in order as I am too lazy to rearrange these pictures and I will try to keep this short and sweet. Mostly because I want to go spend some time with my roommate/best friend. =] I've missed her this past week. So here we go....

This is Rachel! If you didn't know this then you should be smacked. Unless you're new to my blog, then I shall forgive you this once.

Anyway she has a super weird tongue and we spent a good 20 minutes letting her try to teach me how to do this with my tongue.
But alas, I cannot do it. =[ (Note: She is probably my most favorite person in the whole world outside my family. She is pretty much my twin and other half. But seriously, she can read my mind, it's amazing and a TAD scary.....but MOSTLY amazing).

She can also lick her elbow in 3 different ways. (She's double jointed in her elbow) Cool huh?

And all around I pretty much love her to death. Carolina Girls rock! =]

And laugh till we pee our pants and then crash. I guess we had a little TOO much Cheerwine and candy....
Don't judge me. I can act like I'm 5 again if I want to. xP

Later on I got to hang out with my Trio of Hannah, Lizzy and myself. And we found out Hannah can stand on her toes!
She's a weirdo, that's why I love her! =D

And if Lizzy bounces up and down, her dog jumps too.
It was pretty funny to watch.
Flying dog ninja attack!

This is what I love about NC:
GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN GREEN!!!!
Plus this is one of my favorite roads to drive down. It twists and turns through a canopy of trees. Not to mention passing gorgeous houses with a watermill attached to one of them. And it leads to Kris's house. =] (more about those adventures later).

Look what we found the evening I flew in!
Heaven sent! I have an obsession with restaurants/food/drinks that can only be found on the East Coast or just in North Carolina.

This is my baby brother. Since no one thinks Albert and I look alike, does anyone think Aaron (below) and I look alike?
My sweet little brother is slowly becoming a man. 16 and legs hairy enough to be a bear's legs.
Love you bud!

This is my other brother! Yes we ARE related. Seriously.
Anyway, we updated his wardrobe while I was in NC. Doesn't he look so studly?

My friend Gulledge taught Lizzy and I to spray paint. Needless to say we had a great time! Of course I myself became a work of art too. And spray paint does NOT come off with water....

But it does with acetone. =]

Ha this all happened in my 2nd and 3rd full days of being in NC.
What can I say? I like weird and crazy things.
I recommend trying all of this.
So go lick your elbow,
pass out from too much Cheerwine and candy,
stand on your toes,
dance/jump with your dog,
spray paint yourself and your canvas (whatever that may be)
dress up your brother,
take a drive,
eat amazing food found only in your local area
and have fun!

Have adventures
everyday!

Where'd You Go? I Miss You So

Seems like it's been forever since you've been gone. Please come back home.

Though this song only has some relevance, it has been stuck in my head this evening.

I guess I haven't written too much on my feelings on my blog in a long time. It normally all goes into my journal. But I guess, what I am starting to miss is the little things. Like the quietness. Not to say back East that everything was ever quiet. But if I wanted quiet it was not hard to find.

Do you ever take time to embrace the silence even for 5 minutes? Those moments of self reflection, that suddenly things that have been fuzzy for so long now become clear?

I have been pondering over some ideas for quite some time now. I have been trying to understand things beyond my capacity. And though there are some things I still do not fully understand, I am learning little by little.

This semester has been unlike anything and everything I have ever experienced. I have grown spiritually, but not in the normal sense. I have grown to learn about myself in ways I never thought possible. Most of this semester I have been working to think less with my emotions, and more with my head. Anyone who knows me well, knows I am very in tune with my emotions and not that I cut them out, but I began to think more logically.

Given there have still been times where I was confused and unsure of what to do, but I knew what I could not do and then worked from there.

What I have learned is that those we surround ourselves with should make us want to be better. I have found some people like that this semester. Not that I feel inferior to them, but they make me want to work harder and be better than I am. I cannot fully explain it, but at the end of the day, I know I want to be worthy of their friendship and be the friend I know I would want to have.

Sometimes we have to stop and reflect. All semester I have been trying to figure out what I was supposed to be learning. And this semester I have learned to be content with my life. That good things come in time and that I can only work to be better until the time comes that I am worthy of those blessings.

I have learned that being straightforward with people can allow you to grow as better friends. That having people to talk to and understand and relate to makes all the difference. I have also begun to see who my true friends are, and the answers have been surprising. I have learned to trust in ways I did not think were possible. I have had conversations with people that have surprised me for the better. Have you ever had one of those? Those conversations that start off merely as fun and entertaining, but then end up having a heart to heart you didn't expect?

Those are some of the best conversations.

I guess what I am saying is that though I am severely flawed, I am slowly improving. It may not always be evident on the outside, but that is because I am still growing on the inside.

There is more I would share, but that is for another time and another place.

In other news, I am ready to visit NC for a bit. It will be nice to see my family and friends again. Though it is only for a week, that is for the better.

I have no singular home anymore. I have family and friend back East, and I also have family and friends here. I love all of you. I love my family, as well as Hannah, Lizzy, Kris, and Nikki.

I wish everyone back East could meet Nikki. I think y'all would love her. But maybe I am partial because she is one of my best friends. Not to mention a southern bell like myself. =]

I love all of you and miss all of you. I may not get to talk to y'all as often as I would like, but you're always in my heart.

Much love,
Meg

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Not that being 19 is anything particularly special but all the same I am grateful for my 19 years of life and my wonderful parents that gave me life and a GREAT one at that. Thank you mom and dad! Also for all of my siblings even though Albert originally wanted me to be a boy...I forgive you Albert and I hope I've made up for that with all the cookies I've been making lately.....if you even got any of them.....O.o I'm sorry your roommates are all fatties, despite your twiggy figures.....skinniest group of boys/men I EVER did see! O.o

Anyway, yes it is my birthday and I am running on very little sleep, but that is because I got to go to the temple today with my ward. How wonderful! Can you think of a better way to spend the morning of your birthday? Sadly I missed humanities because I didn't get out until 8am (my class starts at 7:45 and it's at LEAST a 10 minute walk there with your hair wet....yeah......

So I went home and took a nap and then went to English. I know, not very exciting.....

But it's okay! My roommates entertained me with a water fight.....MOSTLY outside of our apartment......just don't sit on our carpet and you won't notice.....yeeahh.......and tonight my roommates and some friends and I are going to see the new X:Men at the drive-in theater here =D I'm excited! And we MIGHT make cake before hand? Who knows. O.o

Yeah I don't really do the party thing. I'm older and all the birthday wishes make me feel as special as I want to feel. I kind of have some problems with being the center of everyone's attention.....I don't like it.

But yeah HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! Sorry to all those that I can't be with to share my special day with but you are all in my heart and I think of you often.

Love you all! Thanks for making me feel special, without y'all I wouldn't be the person I am today.

Have a wonderful day!

Noah and the Whale.
I am addicted!

Some adventues in no particular order

Hannah and Lizzy spent the night a little over a week ago. This is when Hannah and I went to Food Lion to get ice cream. =]

And I was SOOO tempted to get Cheerwine popcicles!

But I didn't give in.

Then a few days before all of this...

Robert and I had breakfast for dinner.
TINY BANANA PANCAKE!!!

And big banana pancakes with chunky peanut butter and syrup!
I promise it tastes MUCH better than it looks.

Some time ago, Yutsil and I went to Starbucks
And she found some sort of spearmint tea that opened up her sinuses.

She was thrilled.

It also smelled like gum.

This is how to solve a rubix cube.
Confused yet?

Then Friday was Lizzy's birthday so her, Klaus, Speros and I went to Olive Garden.

Too bad Lizzy and I weren't very hungry.

But we picked up Hannah and went to Klaus's to watch The Wild Thornberry's =]
Not sure where Speros went.....

he WAS where those pillows were because he kept beating everyone with them.

Oh Speros.

Hannah spent the night and she was OUT of it.
How cute!
(Don't hate me for this Hannah!)

And of course I have been trying to break in my shoes.
I like um!

There is no story for this picture.
Fans are just fun to take pictures of.

And finally my new phone.
It's shiny.

I like it!

Eat something fatty!
Then work off twice as much as you ate.
Then dance!

Motivation? Zero. Video games? Lots.

So I have 10 days left until I go back out West. I think my body is anxious because I haven't slept well at all in days.

On the bright side, I have gotten to see several of my friends before I leave and play loads of video games. Robert and I played some N64 and Wii Thursday.
Friday night, Hannah and I played some Mario Kart Wii.
Then Saturday I introduced the Snow boys to N64 (they were less than thrilled with how difficult the original Mario Kart was) but they adored Poke'mon Stadium. (figured right?)
but of course after playing with them, what did Hannah want to do? But play Mario Kart with Lizzy and I =D

I think the best part was when we were deciding which one to play, Hannah says "The one we played last night", yes because I can totally remember what I played with you over every other person I have played video games with in the past 3 days. But it was all good, and Lizzy made a great come back and kicked our butts.

In other news, I have been craving Fun Dip.
Oh the brilliance of the Wonka company =D

And how could we ever forget Peanut Butter M&M's????
(Only the best kind ever!) And my friend Sam tried them for the first time yesterday! O.o
And of course he was immediately addicted to them.

I wish I still had some left =[

But as I said, Hannah and Lizzy came over Saturday night, but not before Hannah and I made a late night Food Lion run to get ice cream (because we had none in the house), And of course Hannah wore her stunning pjs to the store. We found a great deal on Edy's ice cream, buy one, get one free! Edy's is normally expensive so who could say no to that?

Lizzy's pretty self!

And Hannah!
Is going to suddenly become Asian (it was late, and we were tired).

=]

But of course, we made pizzokie.
One giant cookie!

Amazing?

YESSS!!!!!!

This is after I had my way with it....teeheehee
Heart attack anyone?
Or should I say, delicious heart attack.

My best friends with an awesome treat.
That we barely made a dent in.

But it was still delicious! =D

In other news, I hung out with Sam yesterday, just caught up some more since we rarely get to see each other. And then I went over to Marissa's and we watched "Freedom Writers" (which was very good by the way). Overall, I've had a good weekend.

Now if I can get a good night sleep. Oh and working like crazy this week.

Jump up and down if you're a dork
(Yes, I am jumping up and down)
Now go hug somebody!
