Thoughts of a Megan

I realized today that I mostly talk about my adventures and happenings, rather than things that are on my mind or likes or dislikes. So here is something that has been on my mind all semester long.

You know how you're watching a movie or TV show and it gets to the end and as the credits start, they start playing music? On movies, if it's a song you know, then it is awesome and you can sing along. But most just have little tunes playing and I have to say, I HATE IT! I hate ending credit music! Why? Maybe it's because it means the show is over, but I feel like it is just a waste and annoying and for some reason it bothers me! Luckily nowadays on shows they just go to the speaker talking about what is coming up next on TV. But on Netflix they play the credit music and I don't like it! Just skip the credits and give me the next episode or movie already geez!

Am I crazy for not liking this? Most of the time I mute the closing music because otherwise it makes me cringe. Like when I hear people try to say Bratwurst with a HORRIFIC American pronunciation. It makes me shiver! That and hearing people pronounce Appalachian (Appa-latch-in) incorrectly. I don't care what it says online, there is not 2 ways to pronounce it, there is only ONE correct way.

Anyway just some little things that bother me. Call me crazy, I'll admit to it.

Now to go eat my cake.....I have to finish it by next week because I'm NOT sure whose pan it was made in. Special thanks to Stirling for keeping his promise for making my birthday cake. =]

Next time you go to watch a movie or TV show notice the music and if it bothers you as much as it bothers me.

Have you ever dreamed
about trying to use a urinal?
Or hitch hiking a ride
to go see some fireworks?

Some Pictures That Are Worth Thousands of Words

Or maybe just a few words. Like how this computer mouse is spazzing and annoying. =/

ANYWHO...

This is what my computer has looked like for the past 2 weeks...
Can you say Lie To Me? =D

And this is what Saturday nights are for:
Playin it old school!

But back to the day time:
I have 3 words for you:

LIE TO ME!!!!!

(I'm not addicted or anything...)

Then there are those moments when I think to myself

......

(Not a wonderful world you goof!) Only in North Carolina...
do we have geese crossing, deer crossing, squirrel crossing, opossum crossing, etc....

Is anyone else starting to think this is feeling more and more like a princess movie?

I'm just waiting for the birds, bunnies and chipmunks to burst into song ANY MINUTE NOW.

Speaking of Disney, remember The Sword and The Stone?
Bennett doesn't. But he does like to point his sword in the air. And leave the toilet seat up, like any other 3 year old.

Dude, tonight, I almost got beat by him at Mario Kart Wii.

He's 3.

I'll go to my little corner and sulk now....

On to some sweets that will PROBABLY make your mouth water...

Except the onion. That would make your eyes water....if it wasn't actually CAKE! =D

Man that cheese looks so good!

Anyone up for a Burger King run? RIGHT NOW! I'm driving!

Or we could have a jam session...
Anyone play the guitar? How about the ukulele?

Anyone? Anyone?

This last one, I just wanna package it up and take it home.
Too bad it looks TOO sweet to eat.

(Sorry about all these bad puns....I'm tired, can you tell?)

Finally some hats for the runway:
This is jenny featuring the Alaskan pilot hat.

That is secretly too small for her head or MY head.

Next we have
Some best friends that are bored at Target on a Saturday night =D

But for all those foreigners
The prim and proper English ladies hat, for those moments when you want to sip tea in the garden and eat bread and butter, for cake is rarely seen in the best houses nowadays.

Finally for those days where you don't want a tan but still want to be outside
The unbrella hat, keeping you pasty in the great outdoors, or while laying out by a pool.

Now for the giant sunglasses...JK

Now being so pasty, you're probably hungry and what should one eat while rocking video games and pastiness at 3 in the morning?
Cookies, cheese & crackers, and chocolate milk.

The perfect night time snack.

Thank you and goodnight.

Take your shoes off and just dance!

So this week I have learned the importance of music! Music changes everything, your mood and view of everything. I have gotten into a habit of listening to music when I walk places and the next thing I know, I have an extra hop in my step and and want to dance like life is one big musical! Ah if I could only dance around without people staring at me. Sadly I doubt my roommates would dance with me out in public....but maybe I should ask....=]

Well I guess I should catch you up from last weekend. Not much happened except Alisa's Birthday Party! SO here it goes, quick overview because I am LAZY today due to it being Friday afternoon.

So I got home around 4:30 from class and BAKED for several hours. Alisa asked for a confetti cake with cream cheese icing so I made the confetti cake, to find out her mom sent here German Chocolate cake mix and some weird nutty icing...however we only have one cake pan so we made the German Chocolate mix into cupcakes (which only the guys ate). So I made the cake and homemade cream cheese icing, and may I add, it was the most heavenly thing ever besides Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! I nearly just ate the icing by itself but alas the cake was barren and needed this heavenly creation. So Keely spead it on and then took dye and wrote Happy Birthday in purple and yellow! Happy colors =] Keely tried to take the cake out before we iced it, so we could make the other one...but it didn't work and broke in half, but she flipped it back and covered it up well. Couldn't tell until we cut it, and it fell apart...yeah

So we had cake and presents and we played "Do you love your neighbor?" I was only in the center once. Then we played musical chairs on our porch/balcony due to our apartment being hot from so much baking. It was pretty awesome and we got neighbors from all around to play with us. After that we went to Cajun Bob's which is just a dance place for Mormon kids but it was kinda lame so we went to Jamba Juice and drew pictures. After that some people were tired so they went home. But the rest of us (there were 8 I think) hoped into 2 cars and drove out into the middle of nowhere and went stargazing for hours and drew with light =] It was much fun!

The End.

Yeah, I know, not my best story but hey I'm tired! In other news I took a nap today! =] First time as of yet and I loved it! I also developed some film, which was nice. And I am slowly getting to know people in all my classes. My Book of Mormon reading is going well, I am constantly learning and I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. As for my other classes, they are quite dull but I don't mind.

I think my roommates want to go have crazy adventures this weekend. I am not sure as to what we will do since one roommate is going home and 2 of our guy friends are going home as well. Leaving 5 of us and Mikey and Taylor. So we shall see.

Oh! Wednesday night we had the guys over, just playing games and chatting and it was pretty fun =]

Other than that, it has been a slow, dull week. The weather is lovely and I am hoping to get more pictures in before it gets colder.

Maybe it is time for another nap.....=] I get to sleep in tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always hungry!
