Happy Tuesday/Wednesday

I finally had some time to myself and decided to go on a youtube rampage and came across some music that I can only describe as: SUNSHINE music.

So here are two songs that I really love.

The first is "Brave" by Sara Bareilles.
Though to be honest I love the video just as much.
I hope you dance along with it.

The second is "Brighter Than the Sun" by Colbie Caillat.
Which really is just sunshine.

Hope you enjoyed those songs.
Happy Tuesday/Wednesday!

Spring Has Arrived!

I'm hoping if I say it and truly believe it that Rexburg will go along with it.
Plus it's been in the 60's this week and it can stay that way.

Lately Garett and I have been reading fiends. Here's just a taste of what we have been reading.
I'm working on the Saga of Recluce series and Garett has been trying out some new stuff.

I cut my bangs too short and too much by accident but I think it turned out for the better.
I actually like them this way.
What do you think?

This weekend Garett and I went down to Utah to see my family and for his mission reunion.
We watched Rise of the Guardians which we enjoyed thoroughly.
Then spent Saturday afternoon hanging out with my family, enjoying an afternoon walk and the wonderfully warm weather.

Saturday evening we went to the reunion.
Garett served a church mission in the Zimbabwe, Harare Mission.
It covered Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.
While there he made some awesome friends and I finally got to meet some of them.

This is Nate. I found out he is from Asheville, NC. The best state ever.

Then there is Troy. Garett's son. (That is what they call the missionary they helped train when he is new).
I had met him before, but it is always fun to see them together.

There is Fasi. He is half Samoan, half Jewish which is an awesome mix.

Here is some of them together.
(There were about 80-100 people there including their mission president Elder Dube and his family)
There was a dinner and a get-to-know-you segment.
It ended up being a blast.
Plus I got to meet Sam's girlfriend who was just wonderful.

From left to right: Nate, someone, Sam, Kenneth, Fasi, Troy, Garett and Chris.
They were a fun bunch.

Oh and Steven spotted Garett while he did a back flip. I was so excited. I hadn't seen Garett do one before.

Sunday my mom made a fantastic Easter dinner which we all got to share.
I got to meet the exchange student from Brazil that my parents are hosting, Flavia.
She was really nice.
In case you forgot who was in my family.
Left to right: Dad, Mom, Aaron, Flavia, Catherine, Jesse, Nikolai, UJ and Garett.

Now here are some adorable pictures of my sweet nephew, Nikolai.

He loves phones.

So many teeth!

I love this one.

Look at his dimple. =]

It was a much needed relaxing weekend filled with friends, family, good food and warm weather.

That is all.

Sunshine makes life better.

Few Pictures, Lots of Smiles

 California (LA/Glendora area) is beautiful!!!!!!
I haven't really taken pictures though.
Mostly because I didn't feel like digging for my camera in the bottom of my backpack.

I had THAT stranger fiancee moment in that ward that everyone knows everyone and knows who you are before you meet them because word gets around fast.
I wandered around and met a million people who told me how LUCKY I am to have Garett (as if I didn't know that already ;D)

Isn't he so handsome?

I met Erikka, Will, Jessika and Nik. (my soon-to-be-sibling-in-laws)
They're pretty great.
I adore his family, but go figure.

I enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and dinner,
Movies nights, the jacuzzi and VERY briefly the freezing-ish pool,
Hong Kong Express,
Marie Calendar's Chocolate Satin Pie,
A double date with Erikka & Will,
A hike and picnic in the mountains,
Hanging with Steven,
A beautiful drive up the mountain,
and learning to drive stick shift briefly.

 And acting like adults.
=]
Feeling so grown up
and like my family just tripled in size.
California is gorgeous.
They have really cool houses here.
Aaron architecturally here I think you would love it.

I may post more pictures later.
But now the jacuzzi is calling mine, Garett's, Tay's and possibly Matthew's names.

Still have a cookout and two more double dates to enjoy and another hike.
The beach was canceled due to insufficient means to transport surf boards.

Enjoy your weather,
I met mine is better than yours!
HA HA!

It's Another Great Day Here at BYU-Idaho

I woke up this morning to a beautiful day outside! It was super sunny at 6:50am which is weird but awesome. And then when I walked outside at 7:25am it was warm!
(Image below was taken at 9:30am but still. It was SUNNY!)
And you can see the lovely I-Center from my window.
Mostly notice how sunny and warm it looks. A perfect 70 degrees!

And Jaide and Emily's plants are growing so nicely! Isn't it wonderful???So despite it being nasty hot in NC, I am rubbing it in y'alls faces because it is perfect her! Sucks for everyone else! HA! (This is getting you back back in April when it kept snowing here and being unpleasantly cold all through May).

But seriously, sorry it is awful there and it is perfect here. Hope you found a pool to jump in!
I am going to eventually, possibly, but not likely get tan.
But lets face it, everyone loves gingers and they're pasty so shouldn't we embrace the whiteness?

(The answer is YES, just FYI)

Have a happy June 1st!!!!!!!!!
Where 80% of the people I know have birthdays,
including this girl right here.
Guess what!
I have cinnamon bears!
And you DONT!
HA!

I think I may be going crazy...

It's a lovely Sunday afternoon and Rexburg is a ghost town due to it being "spring break/summer vacation" depending on what track you are on.

All the same, I was sitting on my couch minding my own business when I swear I heard the opening to "Lord of the Rings"!!! It was rather quiet and ghostly, probably because someone is watching it in a surrounding apartment.

But then it stopped....so maybe they turned their tv down?

Or maybe I am just going crazy.....

Either way, it's 4:40pm here and it has yet to snow!!! And there are no clouds in the sky to declare any chances of snow! =D

See? Sunshine! Notice the LACK in clouds =D
Yay for a day WITHOUT snow! =D

Also it got up for 45 degrees today! Woohoo! =D

So am I going crazy?
What do you think?

For Hannah...

This is for Hannah =] And everyone else =]

This is my weekend in a nutshell =]

Friday was BEAUTIFUL!!!!

So much that I had to get some Izzes! =D

Blueberry and Apple never tasted so good!
Plus for some reason, taking pictures of the inside of the fridge looks SO cool.

It's like the Izzes are glowing (after all they are heavenly)

To add to my excitement....

I figured out how to scrunch my short hair (it's easier when it's long) and it held for MOST of the day....=D
Like it?

Bangs coming soon!

It was so warm I opened all the windows and walked around barefoot...
My poor shoes looked so lonely but I was more than happy to be rid of them while walking around outside.

Or inside on the couch...
Either way, NO SHOES! In February!

Look at the lovely day outside!
Looks surreal huh?

=D
Pretty!

Can you say I love North Carolina "winter"?
