Who You Need to Know

I am going to use this as a reference point. These are the people I have talked about and probably will for the rest of the semester. I know it can be frustrating reading something and thinking "Now which one was that?"

And please bare with me, I wasn't sure how to go about the order so you may have to scroll up and down a few times. I could have done it by general age but that would put almost all of the guys at the top and the girls at the bottom so instead I am doing it by general relevance. Roommates, their boys, and then people I THINK will stick around this semester. So here are the characters this semester:

This is Emily. She is either the youngest or second youngest of us. She is a bit of an adrenaline junky and all around a very happy person. She is also the one that knows EVERYONE and every guy. She keeps us all joyful with her happy, random remarks.
She is also quite cute.

Next there is Kaylin. She is kind of our "mom". She holds us together and you cannot help but love her. She is ALWAYS smiling and is an all around day brightener.

Then there is Nikki. She is my room-roommate and one of the awesomest people I know. She is loud and wild when she wants to be. She loves to hug people (which is good for my sake, I love hugs) and her and I are pretty much inseparable. She is the best roommate a girl could ask for.

Finally there is Jaide. She is cute and has a great fashion sense. She is actually blonde but can pull off any hair color (which I am rather jealous of). She is goofy and cute. She makes us all laugh with her hilariously random remarks.

(Not pictured: Jacquelyn. She is only here Monday-Wednesday because she is engaged so she doesn't really do anything with our apartment).

This is Tyler M. He is dating Kaylin (See above). They are perfect together and he hangs out at our apartment quite a bit. He is friends with all of us and is easy to talk to and so we allow Kaylin to keep him around. Below he is showing off his frog sculpture made out of cookie dough. (Try to keep up, there are still 2 more Tylers).

Next is Brett (with glasses) and Scott (looking crazy). Sorry I don't have better pictures of them. Brett is Emily's friend and he comes over quite a bit as well. He is pretty cool.

Scott is dating Jaide (See 2 pictures up). I am amazed that I don't have any pictures of them together since they are pretty much inseparable. He is pretty cool and way funny.
This is Stirling. He is one of Albert's roommates. He's a pre-mi and pretty much the funniest guy I know. He's way chill and has a very bold/bright fashion sense. Basically you just need to know that he is hilarious. I wonder where he comes up with the stuff he says. He is quiet normally but when around people he knows, he is loud and crazy.

This is Tyler B. He is also one of Albert's roommates. He drove us up from Provo in his little white Geo Prizm. He is rather quiet until him and Stirling get on a roll. They are really tight and are hilarious together. Stirling will say stuff and Tyler will just go along with it. Tyler is rather reserved but really funny when he talks. Him and Stirling also have the hugest smiles ever (as seen below).

This is Tom Bugg. He might be in my ward, that or he used to be in this ward. Either way he comes around ever so often. He is really goofy but easy to be around and talk with. Here below he is modeling Kaylin's apron.
This is Ian. I don't really know anything about him except he is friends with Scott. He might stick around this semester, who knows. He seems chill though. He went repelling off the bridge with Jaide, Emily and Scott this past Saturday.
David is one of the guys we went to Big Juds with. He is pretty funny and easy going. I don't know much about him except he hangs out with Jesse (below) but he seems nice. Oh and he grew up with Brett.

This is Jesse. He is friend with David and Emily and probably Brett. He is really quiet and kicked Kaylin's strawberry plant off the balcony. Poor strawberry plant.

This is Janee. She is Nikki's old roommate. She is loud and opinionated and really nice. Sorry the picture isn't better. She likes to randomly show up at our apartment periodically.

This is her boy Tyler. He is super nice and easy to talk to. They like to hang out at our apartment. He is easy going and has great taste in music. We'll probably see him and Janee around more often.

Then there is Tom G. He is chill. He is one of those people you talk to because you can. He is on my roommates volleyball team and he is extremely chill. We hang out with him sometimes but I am not sure how long that will last.

This is Conrad. He is really nice and super dorky. He is fun to have around. He has a long board that he has left at our apartment for the past few weeks and we are ADDICTED. I now LOVE long boards and wish I had one. Seriously the most of fun thing ever.

Last but not least there is grandma. The story behind her is she is Jaide's grandma. And for Christmas she gave each of her children and their families a giant picture of her. Her mom didn't like the picture and hid it in Jaide's suitcase when she came to school. We now hide grandma around the apartment in each others stuff trying to scare one another. She is been everywhere. Oh silly grandma.
So I think that is everyone. Pretty much everyone below Scott is not a guarantee they'll stick around but on the off chance that they stay, now you know who everyone is. Hope this helped. Yes I realize everyone whom is NOT my roommate is a guy.....but that's because we really don't have any female friends.....well except Kaley and Brooke from my classes.

Have a lovely day!

Advantages of the front room, sort of.

Yesterday I was chillin at my apartment with a girl from my English class. Her name is Brooke and she is pretty nice. (She is also in Albert's ward and FHE group). Anyway we were sitting in my room with the window open because it is always open, just talking and chillin like ice cubes.

When Emily's friends Brett and David stopped by to see Emily, but she was off repelling off of a 130ft. bridge with Jaide and some friends. Anyway, I SORT of know Brett because he has come over several times (he also went to Olive Garden with our group) and I met David briefly twice because his friend knocked Kaylin's strawberry plant off of our 3rd floor balcony and killed her plant.

Anywho, they came to our window and asked "Hey want to go to Big Juds with us?" So we said "Sure!" but Brett didn't realize the Big Juds in Rexburg is the same as the one in Ashton (near Idaho Falls, close to a 30 min drive) so we went to the one in Ashton.

It was kind of awkward because none of us really knew each other, but it was fun.

And this is why you should have a front room, because you might get to go on a random adventure with people you sort of know. Awesome right?

Oh and Nikki and I moved our room around and I better "organized" by stuff and now it looks all clean or something like that. I might put a picture up later.

Oh! And Kaylin and her boyfriend made homemade Oreos last night. We ate some today and they are delicious. We should always have homemade Oreos ALL OF THE TIME, let me tell you. They are one of the most brilliant inventions ever. I think I have a new favorite cookie.

Float On
And we'll all float on okay
and we'll float on okay
and we'll all float alight
Don't don't you worry
we'll all float on alright

Just wanted to Say

I found this picture in my vast photographic archives.

And it made me miss North Carolina.

But it is okay because they are finally putting the flowers in on campus (Yes they have to plant them every season because they don't come back on their own).

It keeps raining here and it begins to smell like the East.

As pretty as it is here, I still think North Carolina is the prettiest place in the world.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend, especially you Mom & Dad. Have a wonderful 25th Anniversary!

And I hope you feel better my dear sister!

I love you all!

Happy Friday!

Eating muddy buddies with your roommates at 1am?
AWESOME!

Some Memories and Moments

This was our dinner group at Olive Garden =D (Back row, Left to Right: Steve, Brett, Jaide, Scott)
(Front Row Left to Right: Danielle, Emily, Rachel, Nikki, and Me)

It was a super fun night.

And dad asked what I have been doing in my art classes. In my Color and Design class we do rather easy, simple stuff that is more abstract. But here is my most recent project for Drawing I.

I am not going to lie, I am rather proud of it. =] We had a picture to look at, but no instructions as how to go about making it proportionally accurate. I know it isn't perfect but given this is my first time drawing something without a guide, I am proud of it. =]

I smell brownies
and you don't get any!
HA!!!
Meg

P.S. We went to the bishoprics house for FHE in I.F. tonight.
It was great. We jumping on their trampoline like we were 9 again. =]
None of our guys came and we ate ALL the food without them. HA!

I've Told You Once and I Will Tell You Again

Us Mormon people sure know how to party.

This weekend my roommates and I went to Olive Garden......ok wait, wait. I need to back up here. I am getting ahead of myself.

This is Danielle.

You are currently wondering: Who is she? What is on her face? And what does she have to do with Olive Garden?

Well shut up and I will tell you.

Danielle arrived Sunday as courtesy of visiting my roommate, Emily. Danielle was our adopted roommate for the week, given Jacquelyn is only her Monday-Wednesday so Danielle was like our 6.5th roommate.

And let me tell you, she was a blast to have around. There was one morning I woke up to find a fort in our living room with two snoozing girls hiding beneath it. We all hung out many a evening, laughing and joking as if we had known Danielle our wholes lives.

This brings me to Saturday. We (being me, 4 of my roommates, Danielle, her boyfriend (he goes to BYU-I, Danielle is Jewish =D), Brett and Jaide's new boyfriend Scott) went to Olive Garden as a "Thanks for an awesome week, we're going to miss you" dinner celebration thing. (Are you confused yet with all of these parenthesis?)

After a lovely meal, stuffing ourselves full and playing elbowsies. (It's the new footsies). We played some games, danced around and watched people up-chuck some cinnamon.

Which brings me to what is on Danielle's face. Well do you remember that game we played back in the fall?

Well we played it again!

Just F.Y.I. I am REALLY good at this game.

For all of y'all that do not remember what the whipped cream games is....well too bad!
Nah just kidding. It is where you put whipped cream on the back of your hand. Then you smack your free hand towards the elbow of the hand with cream, launching the whipped cream into the air, and then trying to catch it in your mouth.
Warning: If played in doors, floors and ceilings will become minefields with whipped cream.

This is a great game, but you should PROBABLY play it outside, but then again....I have never played it outside.

All around it was lots of fun. Danielle and Steve (her boyfriend) tried to flip the whipped cream to each other and would not stop until the got it. They also felt the need to put whipped cream on the ceiling and then see whose would fall down first and catch it in their mouths.....strange....I know.

And of course, a night is not complete without someone doing the cinnamon challenge. Try to down a tablespoon of cinnamon. Danielle looked like she was about to cry. Steve wasn't sure what the big deal was.

Just to throw in some other random stuff that happened this weekend: Grass fights, Ninja attack, Signs game, Porter Park, long boarding addiction/fever (P.S. it is SOOO MUCH FUN!), dandelion war paint, Sitting on cars, the saltine cracker challenge, no dessert, spilling of several drinks, competition of pregnant food bellies, lots of sunshine, homework in the grass, going to Rollos (Broulims), leaving notes on cookie dough.

Yup that is college life for you.

Or maybe my friends are just more fun than yours.

I want some french fries
really badly
Bojangles needs to move out west
RIGHT NOW!

I Am Obsessed......Just A Tad.......

CHUCK IS COMING BACK FOR A 5TH SEASON!!!!!!!!
(And I am severely disappointed in the lack of larger font options right now...)

This makes me SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER SUPER DUPER DUPER DUPER HAPPY!!!!

Also the Season 4 Finale was AMAZING! They really know how to out-do themselves every season. You can ask my roommates....I was screaming "NO WAY!" at the end of it.
Sorry to Catherine and Jesse who still need to see Season 4....=[

Season 5 will only have 13 Episodes but since they did not think they would get a 5th season, I am satisfied. But now I have to wait until Season 5 starts....can you say another count down? =D

But seriously! Chuck is AMAZING and the greatest show ever and that is saying something since I don't really watch TV.......ever...... Most of it just annoys me.
But Chuck is AWESOME.
I think MOST of my family knows this....except Albert.....grrrrr......just kidding. Love you ALL!!!

I am happy! And sad that Season 4 is over....but MOSTLY HAPPY! =D

This Is My Roommate Kaylin

Enough said.
Basically I love this girl. She makes every day more enjoyable.

Laughter is the best medicine.
Kaylin can testify.

Someone Stole My Camera...And It Was Mario!

Actually most of these pictures were brought to you by Nikki Holt. My roommate. She likes to steal my camera.

And those are her shoes. They are lime green and I want them. =D

This one was brought to you by Kaylin. These are her baby flower plants that she likes to coo at each day with encouragement.
And then one night Kaylin decided to grow out her mustache.
I must say, she quickly beat out her boyfriend, Tyler in the thick mustache department.
Quite seemingly came out of nowhere.
And then she became Mario.
And all this time we thought Emily would be the one to wake up one day as the guy (Roommate joke).

And of course Mario has to play Mario Kart Double Dash!

And Jaide continues to act oblivious to her strange surroundings.

Or just embrace the oddball-ness of this apartment.
Like I said...

This apartment gets stranger and stranger every day. And I am loving every minute of it.

Don't ever eat ice cream
and then popcorn
back to back.
Just sayin.

A Feast For Five

Mother's Day we had a roommate dinner in honor of Nikki's Birthday. And this is how wonderful it looked!

Bread crumb covered chicken, corn on the cob,
With garlicy/buttery mashed potatoes,

And of course, bread with a cream cheese/butter mix with paprika and other spices on it.
(Funny story about the paprika. Nikki and I were at the store and she was looking for garlic salt and I saw the paprika and I almost did not buy it. I ended up buying it saying "you never know when you'll need it". Sunday came around and BAM! We needed it and I had it.) Great story huh?
It was a fabulous dinner! We are thinking we will have many more roommate dinners in the future. =]

Take chances.
You never know when you'll need it.
Thanks mom for teaching me that.

To My Little Brother

I was going to pick a few of my favorite memories of you with pictures included buuut......45 pictures later I realized I had too many favorite memories of you. So I put them into 4 collages just for YOU!

Happy Birthday Aaron!

I love you!

Thanks for 16 years of fun and entertainment!
Remember exploring World Market for hours like children in a toy store? And finding that awesome Ramen bowl? How about eating a dozen doughnuts and laughing at Matt for buying his own dozen?

Playing at Sciworks in 30 minutes before it closed? But not having to pay due to it closing in 30 minutes?

How but all the adventures we went on with mom and dad?
Catherine's wedding, standing out in the cold while they were sealed?
Waiting for mom to get some stuff at Food Lion?
Races on mini bikes?
The never ending Biltmore Gardens?
When you got your braces off and they joked that you weren't getting them off that day?
But then gave you a water bottle full of candy?

How about the dozens of times you told me how cute I was?
And introduced me to your friends as your little big sister?
Sliding down waterfalls?
Camping?
Andall your super awesome architectural creations?

All those morning of rushing out of seminary to beat the bus #158?
Only to sit around at Career Center normally half asleep until class started?
All our morning adventures with Chase, Ryan, Ryan and Sophia?
Do you remember that sunset going down Clemmonsville road? And how pretty it was?
The first time we went to Rexburg and found the dry, powdery snow so amusing?
The amazing past 3 years of eating Cookout, bringing you Wendy's for lunch and laughing at my "road rage" due to slow drivers and tail-gators?

Thanks for being a wonderful little brother. I know this post if kind of late but Happy Birthday bud! I have been blessed to enjoy the past 3 years with you and gotten to know you so closely. I won't forget the many nights we stayed up talking while mom came in and out yelling at us to go to bed every 20 minutes, yet we didn't care because we were having such a good time.

You are an incredible young man. You never cease to amaze me. You are an example to me. You can do anything you put your mind to and I am curious to see where life takes you.

Happy Birthday little bud!

I love you Aaron.

Birthday Wishes

This weekend it was my roommate, Nikki's Birthday. If you have not heard my epic adventure of throwing Nikki and surprise party, well here is the cheat cheat version.

Tom came up with the idea of surprising Nikki with a birthday cake at midnight Friday night (Her birthday was Saturday). We got all the stuff for it, made the cake while she was in class and then went to a movie on campus. After the movie we sneakily convinced her to go to Tom's place and SURPRISE! =D

It had a tomb stone on it....Tom's idea....It said "CONGRATS...You're Old!"
(she just turned 20)

And that is a rabid, fox/squirrel thing.
(Once again...Tom's idea)

Saturday I took Nikki to the Cocoa Bean!

Nothing says "Happy Birthday" Like Rex Velvet and Better Than Whatever cupcakes =]

My mouth waters just looking at them. =]

And Nikki got these for her Birthday from her parents:
It says:
Directions: For vest result rake one and lock yourself in a closet.
Caution: Keep refrigerated (you and/or the pills)

Congrats
you're old

Misfit Stories and Other Random Moments Part II

I will give you a minute to try and figure out what this thing is...

If you guessed a distorted faced man with his hair on fire, your guess is as good as mine.

How did this happen? Three words.

Tom and Nikki.

Nikki held me down while Tom decided to use my arm as his canvas to display his little work or art. There used to be balloon going up my arm but I still had another class to go to so I washed that part off.

Don't you just love your friends?

(And apparently this would have looked better but I kept moving because being drawn upon with sharpie tickles, just FYI)

This war
is just
beginning...

Misfit Stories and Other Random Moments Part I

The other night I was happily sitting in the living room doing homework when I saw Kaylin and Jaide walking out with a candle and peeps.

At first glance it looked like they were roasting their peep marshmallows....

But then I heard an unusual cry...

"DIE PEEPS! DIE YOU NASTY LITTLE PEEPS!!!" -Kaylin

I came over to see what was happening to find this poor innocent peep with its head and tail burned off.

I was shocked and amused.

And then it was time for the peeps little friends to have their turn in the flames...

They used strange tactics to little one on fire just to burn the other peeps...

And enjoyed it a little TOO much.

The End.

My roommates
are crazy
and possibly
pyromaniacs.
Isn't that awesome?
Meg
